We sat on his bed. I had showered and put on his clothes, which were of course way too big for me, but incredibly comfy. He also had showered in another bathroom and put on dry clothes, had brought out a first aid kit and was carefully dabbing my cut with disinfection fluid. I didn't even flinch. I'd patched myself up so many times before, I was used to the sting.
What I still couldn't get used to, was his handsome face, so close to mine. That jawline was really a work of art. He turned his upper body to reach for the band aids and I admired the moving of his muscles beneath the tight shirt he was wearing.
I couldn't resist and stretched out my index finger, to let it run over his biceps. Chan turned his head when he felt my touch, looking at me with a slightly raised eyebrow and an unsure grin. "What?"
I shrugged, not taking my eyes from his body, admiring the protruding veins on his lower arms, following them with my finger. "I'm not sure if it is legal to look this good, Mister Bang...?" I looked up, watching his grin broaden. He tilted his head and leaned closer. "So, what you're gonna do, girl, file a report?" - "Maybe I'll arrest you directly, you know?" I smiled and his eyes sparkled.
"Well but...you're gonna have to search me first, before you put me into jail..." he murmured, his lips only a hair's breadth away from mine. "Oh, believe me, I'd do that gladly..." I whispered, closing my eyes.
Knocking on the door made us jump apart. Chan cleared his throat. "Yes?" - "Chan-hyung, dinner's here." Felix's voice sounded through the door. "Ok, we'll be there in a second." Chan answered and finally put the band aid on me, leaning forward quickly and stealing a small kiss from my lips.
"Pizza?" he asked and I nodded eagerly. Lunch already seemed a lifetime away. We got up from his bed and went for the door, but suddenly I stumbled over the wide legs of his sweatpants, nearly falling flat on my face. I grabbed his arm in reflex and he spun around, catching me before I could fall.
"Honestly! Isn't one bruise enough, Kaylee?" he asked exasperatedly but joined in my giggle when he was sure I hadn't hurt myself. He knelt down and started to roll up the legs of the pants, so I wouldn't fall again. "Chan, I can do that myself, you know? You make me feel like a baby..." I pouted, half serious. He chuckled and stood up again, kissing the tip of my nose.
"Sorry but not sorry, Darling. I just love taking care of the people that are important to me, you know?" My heart fluttered and I blushed. "So, that means..." I teased, playing with my sleeve and looking up at him from under my lashes. "...that I'm important to you?" He took my face in his hands, kissed me slowly and whispered "You have no idea..."
Then he took my hand, leading me out of the room and down the stairs. The house was spacious and designed in light colors. The stairs led into a big living room with a gigantic couch in U-Form, big enough to fit at least 12 people. On the other side of the room stood a big dining table with ten pizza cartons on it. The other guys were already grouped around the food, talking over each other, passing plates and napkins.
Changbin's voice could be heard over all the others when he seemed to complain that Seungmin had taken a piece of his pizza. The young vocalist stood a few feet away, grinning and munching happily on his haul. Felix and Hyunjin were discussing, pointing at various cartons, obviously not quite sure which one they wanted first.
Lee Know and Han stood with their backs to us when we entered. Chan said something to IN, who already had three pieces of pizza on his plate and tried to get a fourth one. His voice made Han turn around, his eyes zeroing in on my hand in Chan's. I tried to let go quickly, but Chan wasn't having it and reinforced his grip on me.
He directed a question at Han, his voice calm but determined. Han's eyes narrowed and he put his plate down, answering Chan's question in a cold sounding way, looking at me with utter disgust in his face and left the room. Lee Know sighed and shook his head.
