(Note from the Author: Sorry, this one's a long one, I didn't knew where to make the cut :D )
The low light outside the window told me that it was still quite early, maybe 8 or 9 am, but I couldn't sleep any longer. I woke up because I was literally melting! I still wore Chan's hoodie and when I looked up I saw that he still held me in his arms, sleeping peacefully. My pulse sped up and my heart felt like it was about to explode, when I watched his face so close to mine.
I could have looked at him forever, but nature demanded her rights. Slowly and very carefully I freed myself from his arms, crawling over the bed and tiptoed into the bathroom. After using the toilet I took my hairbrush that I had deposited on his bathroom counter yesterday and brushed my hair. Finally I brushed my teeth and nodded towards my reflection.
I finally got rid of the hoodie and took one of Chan's T-shirts instead, which I had found in the bathroom, because I didn't want to make too much noise by rumbling through my suitcase. I nodded again and grinned. Yeah it definitely wasn't because his shirt smelled like him...
With a last look at the sleeping Chan I carefully opened the bedroom door, went outside and closed it just as quietly. On bare feet I tapped down to the living room. The whole house was silent, apparently everybody was still asleep. I still hadn't charged my phone, so I had no way to check the time, but I said to myself that I would just look for a bottle of water and then go back to Chan, until he woke up.
I shuffled into the kitchen and opened the fridge, clapping happily when I saw the mass of water bottles in it. I carefully took one and went back into the living room. I opened the bottle and took a few sips, quenching my thirst.
Then I stopped mid-move and listened, not sure if I had just imagined it. But no, there definitely was music playing somewhere. I pricked up my ears and followed it. It led me down two sets of stairs (How big was this house, for god's sake??) and finally to a door with a little window in it. I peeked through it and saw Hyunjin and Lee Know, obviously practicing a choreography together.
The bass of the song was booming, I could feel it in my stomach. Both men were moving in complete sync, their moves fluent and elegant. I envied them, I had always wanted to learn dancing, but I never got the opportunity.
At this moment they twirled and I made direct eye contact with Lee Know. He stopped in surprise and I quickly ducked down. Was I even allowed to be here? Gosh this was embarrassing. The next second the door was opened and I jumped, tripping over my own feet and landed smack on my butt.
Minho stood in the door, blinking in surprise and then he started laughing, pointing at me. After a second I joined him, because I could imagine what a picture I offered, sitting there on my ass, looking probably like a child in Chan's oversized clothes.
Hyunjin also appeared in the door frame and smiled when he saw me. "Good Morning, Kaylee!"
"Good Morning, Hyjunjin, Hi Lee Know!" I answered and scrambled to my feet. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to interrupt you. The music lured me down here, I couldn't resist."
"No problem. Do you want come in?" Jinnie asked and I nodded. "I'd love to! You both looked amazing, you almost moved as if you were one person!" I gushed and Hyunjin smiled. He translated to Lee Know and he bowed briefly to me.
Hyunjin pointed at a couch in the corner of the room. "If you want to, you can sit there, watching. Or you can join us?" I scratched my head, scrunching my nose.
"I'd love to, but I don't know if that's a good idea, I sadly never had a dance lesson in my life. I'll probably mess up completely. But thanks anyway Jinnie."
The two guys exchanged a few words in Korean and Lee Know shrugged his shoulders, grinning. Hyunjin smiled too and turned to me. "Well, then you get first dance lesson now. Lee Know is perfect teacher!" I blinked a little stunned, but before I could protest Hyunjin had taken me gently by my elbow and dragged me in front of the mirror that covered the whole length of the room.
