Chapter 1: The News

Y/N's POV

It was the offseason currently, then the 2020-2021 season has been over for a few months. The Rams had a good season, Im the assistant coach for the Rams. I've worked for the rams since they returned to Los Angeles in 2016. Ive grown up here in Los Angeles, but I went to school at the University of Georgia. I loved football since I was a kid, I watched it with my dad. My Dad has always been supportive of me and anything having to do with football. I have gained amazing friendships with everyone in the franchise, especially with Sean McVay, the head coach. He has been a good friend to me, like an older brother. I was sitting in my apartment, and I got a call from Sean asking me to come down to Sofi stadium. I was generally confused because training doesn't start for another few weeks. I got into my car and drove to the stadium, to see what Sean needed me for. After a bit of a drive, thanks to the infamous LA traffic, I arrived at the stadium. thinking that Sean would be in his office, I went straight there. " Y/N, thanks for coming," Sean said. " Of course, now why did you ask me here, it's not training yet," I asked. " No, this isn't about a training day, this is about something else," Sean said. " what is it about then," I asked. " You see, you how I went to Cabo, for a vacation not to long ago," Sean started to say. "Yeah, what's that got to do with anything," I said. " Well, when I was there, I ran to a few people, and one was Kyle Shanahan and the other was Matthew Stafford," Sean said. " And, I got chance to talk and get to know Matthew,and Detroit is Trading him to us, for Jared," Sean said. " wait, what do you are telling me, Matthew Stafford, the Matthew Stafford you I know I've had the biggest crush on since my Georgia days, is going to be trade to our team," I said. " Yeah, that Matthew Stafford," Sean said as rubbed the back of his neck. " I forget have you actually ever met him before," Sean asked. " No, I started attending the University of Georgia a year after he was drafted, but a of people told me about him, and I watched Georgia games in high school, and then after he was drafted to the Lions, I started watching Lions games," I said. " Well you'll get to officially meet him in a few days," Sean said. I don't know how this is going to play out, working with my longtime football crush, but this is going a good thing for the Rams. I mean Jared Goff has been a good player and Quarterback but maybe there's more of a future with Matthew. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself, when I'm around him. It will have to be professional of course.
