Chapter 11: A Day in Paradise

Y/n's POV

The days following were pretty normal, I went to work while Joe went to see the specialist. Matthew and I have been talking more at work, Sean, of course, enjoying it. Tomorrow Joe goes back to Cincinnati, which honestly it was nice having someone in the apartment for a change. I have the day off today because there is no training practice today. Joe was at the specialist for the last day. I felt like I wanted to spend the whole last day with him. I didn't realize how much Im going to miss Joe till now. after doing some housekeeping work, I heard the door open and close. I gave Joe spare keys since he was staying here, " Hey Sunshine, Im back, its finished," Joe said. I went to greet Joe at the door, " Hey Joey, that's great," I said. " it sucks I have to go back tomorrow," Joe said. " Yea it is," I said. I had an idea, I haven't taken Joe to the beach yet, so it would be perfect since its still summer. " Hey Joey, how you like to spend your last day at the beach," I said. " I'd like that, I would love to go to the beach with you," Joe said. " Did you pack stuff at the beach," I asked. " Yea, I had a feeling that I might go," Joe said. " Great, we'll get ready and we'll go, ok," I said. " Sounds like a plan," Joe said. We got ready for the beach and took this as an opportunity to impress Joe so, I decided to wear a one-piece that was on the more sexy flattering side. It was a black one-piece, that I'm sure will make Joe's jaw drop. I put some clothes over it to cover it till we get to the beach.

Joe's POV

The beach is the perfect place for me to try and win over Y/N. I know I fluster her easily, and now with being at the beach, I know she's going to go crazy over me being shirtless and all that, I just hope she doesn't wear something too attention-drawing. I don't how im going to feel about other guys looking at her. then again with me, it might be the same thing with girls, I wonder how jealous she gets. this is going to be interesting.

Y/N's POV

After getting ready for the beach we headed out to Malibu beach. The drive to Malibu is always calm, and I liked it. Then we arrived at the beach, I got some towels and a blanket for us. We headed down to the sand. It was a nice day, as we set up it was time to put the play into action. I took off the clothes that cover my one piece. Joe hadn't noticed yet, then he glanced at me, then his eyes widen. Just the reaction I wanted to get from him.

Joe's POV

When I glanced at Y/N and then saw her in that black one-piece, I was stunned. the one piece highlighted all her curves and her figure. She looked drop-dead gorgeous like a goddess. I saw a smirk form on her lips, she so planned to do this. Well, Y/N two can play that game, It was my turn to shock her and make her fluster. I then took off my shirt and then looked at her with a smirk.

Y/N's POV

As I smirked at him, I saw him start to smirk then he lifted his shirt over his head and took it off. There were his sculpted chest and abs, all his muscles exposed in their glory. I felt my cheeks heat up really quickly, " My eyes are up here, Sweetheart," I heard Joe say as I snapped out of my thoughts. I guess we had the same kind of idea about impressing each other. I looked at him, he had a mix between a smile and a smirk on his face. his eyes were bright blue, almost an electric blue with a hint of grey. " I guess we both had the same Idea, huh, Sunshine," Joe said. " Y-yeah, I guess so," I said. I sat down on the blanket, taking in a bit of Sun. then I remembered I need to put sunscreen on, " Joey, do you mind helping me with some sunscreen," I asked. " Sure, Sunshine, I don't mind at all," Joe said. I sat up and Joe sat behind me and took some sunscreen in his palm. I then felt him start to rub the sunscreen on my body. His touch made me feel butterflies, as I felt his large hands rub my back. After he finished putting sunscreen on me, he put some on himself. " Im going to the water wanna join," Joe said. " No you go ahead," I said. " Okay, I'll be back in a bit," Joe said. I watched him go the water, and laid to get the Sun. A few minutes go by and felt the Sun get covered, I thought Joe had come back but it was just some random guy. " hey,Sweetheart, what's a pretty girl like doing at the beach all by herself," the Guy asked.  " I'm not by myself, but even if I was that is none of your business," I said. " Feisty, I like girls who are like that," the Guy said. Now I was starting to feel uncomfortable, but I mean I am wearing a swimsuit that attracts guys. The one guy who's attention I want is Joe's. " Come on, Dollface, let's get out of here, and go have some real fun," The guy said,
Joe's POV
I was minding my own business while in the ocean, and i look to check on Y/N and I see a guy who clearly is making her uncomfortable. So I went over to them.
Y/N's POV
"Is there a problem here," I heard Joe say. the Guy looked at Joe and chuckled. " no there's no problem, mind your own business, Pretty Boy," The Guy said. " Yea, there is you are clearly making her uncomfortable, and you are bothering her," Joe said. " So, could you please leave her alone, before i make you," Joe said.  " Oh, what are you going to do, Pretty Boy," The Guy said. Then Joe pinned down the guy in the sand. " you are messing with the wrong guy, pal," Joe said. Then they got up from the ground and the guy left. " Thanks, Joey," I said. " No problem, Sunshine," Joey said. After spending a few hours at the beach. We head home, we got back to my apartment. I showered and changed it comfy clothes. I wore one of Joe's LSU hoodies. I went the Living Room where Joe was and sat next to him. " told you you would look great in LSU stuff," Joe said. " I'm going to miss you Joey," I said. " Me too, Sunshine, I wish I didn't have to go back," Joe said. Then I leaned closer Joe, and then Joe pulled me into his lap. Joe then started leaning in closer. To the point where our lips we centimeters apart. Joe then pressed his lips on mine. My hands went to his hair, and I slightly tugged on his hair. He let out a groan against my lips. He bit my bottom lip. A few minutes go by and he ended what almost became a make out session. Which could have led to something else with I'm not ready for. Joe kissed on the forehead and went to bed this day was definitely interesting.
