Chapter 10: Opening up

Y/N's POV - A week later

It has been a week since Matthew and I went out on our date, and Joe is flying from Cincinnati today. Also apparently they allowed for Joe to stay at my place since my apartment is not far from the specialist he is going to see. Also I told Sydney about how Joe is coming here to LA, and she told me all these things that I should do. Like going out on a date with him and show him around LA. I didn't tell her about the date I had with Matthew, and especially not about the Kiss. I know she wants me to be with Joe. Speaking of which I got a text from him.

Joey B: Hey Sunshine, I just landed at LAX, I should be at your house within the hour

Okay, Joey I 'll prepare the guest room until you get here.

Joey B: Alr, Sunshine I'll let you know when Im there, I can't wait to see you

Can't wait to see you too, Joey 

Then I started getting everything ready for Joe, It's not the guys haven't stay with, cuz I had Sean a few times. I plan on moving into a house but for now, its just my cozy apartment. within an hours or so, Joe texted him that he was here, and not long after that I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door, and there stood Joe. " Hey, Joey," I said. " Hey Sunshine thanks for letting me stay here instead of a hotel," Joe said with a smile. I think both are a little happy with this. " No problem, Joey, let me show you to your room," I said. I showed him to the guest room and left him to get settled while I was in the living room. After a while Joe came out from the guest room. " So do you have to go to the specialist today or no," I asked. " No, not today starting tomorrow I do," Joe said. " Ah ok, well I'll probably be at work when you go to the specialist," I said. " Oh, yea I forgot, training season," Joe said. " yeah, but I'll be back at like around 3 or 4," I said. " Okay, Well  I guess we can take the opportunity for you to show me around," Joe said with a sly smile. " Sure, we can do that," I said. then I we get ready to go out, we both dressed casual. Joe wore an LSU hoodie and sweatpants. I kinda matched but I wore my Georgia hoodie and some jeans. " College rep I like it," Joe said. " But you would look better in LSU stuff," Joe said with a wink. " at least its not a Rams hoodie," I said. " It wouldn't mater since you look good in anything," Joe said and winked again. I felt my face heat up, this boy somehow always manage to make me feel some type of way.

Joe's POV

What Y/N doesn't know is that Sydney has told me there is someone that Y/N really likes out here in LA. She wouldn't give the name but she said he's on the Rams. Which means him and Y/N see each other everyday. I admit since Y/N left Cincinnati I have grown feelings for her. Now that im here in LA, its my chance to win her over. The fact that i'm staying at her place is even better and it increases my chances. So im going use what ever I have to do that. I know she flusters easily around me. So complimenting her is easy. What I said is true though, She looks good in that Georgia hoodie, but would look better in LSU stuff, and on top of that she looks good in anything. Since Sydney and Evan started to try to get us together I realized that they were on to something the whole time and it benefitted me without me even knowing it. Whoever the Rams player is that she likes, he better watch out.

Y/N's POV

The rest of the day I took Joe around LA, we ate famous iconic LA, and now we are at the Griffith Observatory. " Wow, Y/N, I got to say this was so fun, and I had an amazing time around LA," Joe said. " Im glad you liked it, Joey, I wanted to give you the best experience in LA ever," I said. " well you sure did, and the view of LA is amazing up here," Joe said. " It really is, I used to come here a lot as a child, back then I was interested in Science and Astronomy," I said. " I also came up here a lot with my dad after my mom died," I said. My mom died of cancer when I was 7, that why I have been so close to my dad, and why football is so important in my life. My dad never remarried after my mom died. I was his only focus and priority, I made it through college and made to the NFL because of him. " Im so sorry for your loss, Sunshine," Joe said as he pulled me into a hug. this is the first time in a long time where Ive talked about my mom. I felt tears forming in my eyes, I buried my face in Joe's chest. Joe held me tighter and told me to let out that it was ok to cry. after what seemed like an hour, I stopped crying, Joe's LSU hoodie was soaked with my tears. He told me that it didn't matter and that it was fine. " how are you feeling, after that, better," Joe asked. " Yeah, I feel better, thank you Joey, its just hard to talk about my mom, and its been a while too," I said. " well, im glad that you are better and im thankful that you were able to share that with me, and trust me enough to do so," Joe said. I then felt Joe's lips on my forehead. He smiled down at me and I looked into his beautiful blue eyes, and felt a wave of relief and safety. Maybe Sydney is right about Joe, and that her trying to get us together was a good thing. After that we drove back to my apartment, since it was getting late. When we got to my apartment and we got ready to go to sleep since we have a busy day tomorrow. I bid Joe a good night and then laid down and process the day I just had with Joe. Now I was curious on what could happen the rest of Joe's trip here in LA.
