Chapter 6: Just a little change

Y/N's POV

Sydney and I have our Spa day today, getting ready for the big day. " Okay, love all our treatments are covered so get whatever you want," Sydney said. " Are you sure," I asked. " Yes, Love, it is all covered," Sydney said with a smile. "I'm not saying anything, but you could try to impress Joe," Sydney said. " you mean like a makeover," I asked. " Kinda yea, you can impress anyone you want," Sydney said. " Love, I love you and everything but I know you are struggling to date and commit, Stafford and Joe entering your life is your chance," Sydney said. " So, maybe you need to boost your confidence a bit," Sydney said. Maybe Sydney is right, about this there is nothing wrong with trying to boost my confidence. So I went to get a mani-pedi, simple white French tips with a bit of flare, and for my pedicure I choose white. That's when I went to the salon for my hair, I had long light brown hair, but I thought of adding some platinum blonde to it. Which I was impressed with the results, and thought it was great. Later I met up with Sydney again, for the spa part. " Oh my gosh, Y/N love, you look great," Sydney said. " you think so," I asked. " Yes, and when you are all dolled up in your outfit for the wedding, Joe is going to be speechless," Sydney said. then we spent the rest of the day, treating ourselves as the bride and maid of honor. 

time skip the next day - to the wedding rehearsal and the dinner

Today is the wedding rehearsal and tonight is the dinner, " Y/N dear, it's time to go to the venue for the rehearsal," Monica said. " Alright, Im coming," I said. " Oh and Dear, Sydney said you'll have to go with Joe because there's not enough room," she said. Of course, she made us go to the rehearsal together, Joe hasn't seen the changes I made to myself.  I went outside towards Joe's car, Joe looked up at me. " Woah, Y/N you look a little different," Joe said. " Yeah, I made some tiny changes yesterday, why doesn't it look bad," I said. Maybe this was a bad idea, this was supposed to help boost my confidence and help me be more comfortable with committing to relationships or potential relationships. Especially since I would like to give Joe a chance, and Matthew too. " No, Not at all, it actually kinda suits you," Joe said while rubbing his neck. 

Joe's POV

She honestly looks so amazing, I meant it when I said it suited her, but stop definitely is wrong maybe, I'm overthinking it, but I can sense something. I just have to wait and see.

Y/N's pov 

Well, that's a relief that he likes it, then we got in his car, and he did open the door for me like a gentleman which was cute. we drove to the venue which was a vineyard that was a little outside Cincinnati. It was a gorgeous venue, and the vineyard was really beautiful. we ran the rehearsal a few times until it was time for the dinner which we had to change for. Since it was a formal dinner, I didn't go all out since I have tomorrow for that. Also, Im riding with Joe to the restaurant. " Love, it's time to go to the dinner plus Joe is waiting for you," Sydney said. " How do I look, Syd, Im really wanting to do this right," I asked. I felt nervous, I didn't even think of impressing Joe, but now it is all I can think of. I was wearing a yellow dress that went a little above the knee, my hair down, and two-inch heels.  " Y/N, Love you look beautiful, Im sure Joe is going to be amazed, tonight and tomorrow," Sydney said. I took a deep breath and thought of what Sydney said, she was right. I went out of the guest room and went outside to Joe's car. Joe went to get my door but I could see that he was a bit caught off guard. " Wow, Y/N, you look great, I mean it is not even the wedding but wow," Joe said. " I can say the same for you, Joe, you look great," I said. who am I kidding, he looked so handsome, he was wearing all black with a silver chain, a watch around his wrist, and his hair like how it always is with a few curls hanging out against his forehead. Lastly, his eyes which I noticed changed to a brightish blue with a hint of silver grey. My heels helped a little with our height difference, even though Im not that shorter I am 5'6 but still heels or no heels Joe still towers over me. oh, I could only imagine tomorrow, at the wedding. 

Joe's POV

Oh my gosh, she looks incredible and this is only the dinner, I can't imagine her tomorrow, Alright Keep it cool Joe, you aren't called " Joe Cool" for nothing. 

Y/N's POV

The dinner went great and after that, Sydney and I enjoy her last night as a free woman before getting married tomorrow. I hope the wedding goes smoothly, and that I don't make a fool of myself. Also trying to start something with Joe. I mean that is what Sydney and Evan have trying to do. But I can't forget Matthew, I still really like him, and the fact when I go back home Im going to be working with him all the time. This definitely going to turn into something and whether or not it ends well, and I make the right decisions is very important.
