Chapter 16: Playoffs

Y/N's POV

A month later - January 17, 2021

It's officially NFL playoff season and both the Rams and Bengals are in the playoffs. today is the Wildcard game against the Arizona Cardinals. The only people that know about me and Joe's relationship are Sasha, Avery, Ja'marr, Sam, Tee, and Zac Taylor. Olivia and Sydney have become close friends, which is not good for me, cuz they can try to split me and Joe up. I was on the field before the game since it was a home game and Sean noticed that wasn't myself and that I was distracted. " Hey, Y/N are you okay, you don't seem like yourself," Sean asked. " Oh, yea I'm fine Sean don't worry," I said. " are you sure, nothing go on with Matthew," Sean asked. " Matt and I are good," I said. " Alright, we let's go get the win and get to the divisional round," Sean said. We won the game, 34-11 we are moving on to the divisional round in Tampa Bay against Brady and the Bucs. " Great Job Today Coach," Cooper said. " Thanks Coop, you and Matt's chemistry on the field is really working for us," I said. Later I found out the Bengals won against the Raiders and they are moving on to play the Tennessee Titans. The week goes quick as the team and I arrived in Tampa Bay. It was now game day, Sunday January 23, 2021. Before the game, we were on the field. Tom Brady approached me, " Hey, Y/N, good to see you and it's great to see the Rams are still treating you well," Tom Brady said. " Thanks Tom, it's great to see you too," I said. " Good luck, today," Tom said. " Good luck to you too," I said. Then game was intense down to the game winning drive. Two plays consisting with Matthew and Cooper. All within 35 seconds and we win the game by a field goal, with the score of 30-27. We got back home to play in the NFC Championship. Sasha and Avery told me that the Bengals were going to the AFC Championship as well, in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. So there was a possibility that both the Rams and the Bengals could play against each in Super Bowl 56. Now even Joe and I are together it's been hard keeping in touch with each other, since both teams are trying to play in the Super Bowl. It just worries me cuz of Sydney and Olivia. Another week goes by and this weekend determines which teams go to the Super Bowl. The Four Teams remaining Are the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals. Today is the NFC Championship Game, if we win today we go the Super Bowl which will be played in Sofi Stadium, our very own stadium. I arrived at the stadium ready for the game, and went in and went to the field. Sean came up to me, " Are you ready for this again," he asked. " Yeah, one step closer to play in the Super Bowl in this stadium," I said. I went over to Cooper, " Good luck out there today, Coop, give it your best," I said. " Always and forever, coach," he said with a smile. I gave him a hug and let out a chuckle. Then Matt came up to us, " Ready for this Matty, this is what you play for all these years," I said. " I'm a hundred percent ready," Matt said. " Great, that's what I like to hear," I said then Matthew and I embraced in a hug. " Do your best out there, give it your all, cuz you are Matthew Stafford," I said to him. " I'll make you and this City proud, Darlin'," he said with a smile. I smiled back at him, Los Angeles is lucky to have him. As we go on to face our rivals the San Francisco 49ers went again win by three points 20-17. WE ARE GOING BACK TO THE SUPER BOWL, THE RAMS ARE PLAYING IN THE SUPER BOWL IN SOFI STADIUM. I ran to Matthew first and jumped in his arms. " We did it, Matty, we are going to the Superbowl, you're finally going to play in a Super Bowl," I said. " Told you I'd make this city and you proud," Matthew said. Sean came to us, " hey you two, congratulations on making it this far," Sean said. " we all deserved this," I said. After that we were presented the NFC championship trophy, and went out to celebrate, and of course, Sean throw a party to celebrate. Up until now the fact that I could be facing my boyfriend's team wasn't even a thought. All the Rams Players, enjoyed them selves. Matthew and I hung out together the whole night. We also ended up getting drunk." Can't believe that is happening," I said. " Me neither, Going to the superbowl in the first year of being on a different team is crazy," Matthew said. Cooper came over to me, " hey Y/N, um I don't know if you have seen this, but it's has to with the Bengals QB," Cooper said. " it looks like he was a girlfriend now or something," cooper said. I looked and couldn't believe my eyes it was Joe and Olivia. Joe has been cheating on me, this whole time and the girls didn't tell me. " That  asshole he fuckin cheated on me," I said. " Wait, you and Joe have been together this whole time," Matthew said. " yeah, but now I feel stupid because I was dumb for thinking that they weren't going to do anything, Sydney did this, she told Joe about me liking you for years, and they Joe almost did something to you because he gets jealous, now I feel like I should've just picked you in the first place, this why it took forever cuz I'm scared of relationships and commitment," I said with tears running down my face. " I swear I never meant to hurt you, Matty and you were the right one all along," I said. I felt my face being lifted and I stared into Matthew's greenish blue eyes. Surprisingly he had a look of sincere on his face. " im so sorry, Matty," I said. " I admit it hurts to know it was Joe that you chose but you didn't deserve for this to happen to you," Matthew said. Then Matthew picked me up and we went upstairs to a room. Matthew locked the door and I looked him confused.

" Matty, what are you doing," I asked. " Claiming what is really mine," Matthew said. He then smashed his lips against mine. I kissed back immediately, that fact that was about to have sex with my football crush for the past decade is unbelievable. I felt his lips move down to my neck. I felt his facial hair brushing up against my neck. I left out soft moans and I had my fingers in his hair. He left a few marks on my neck. Not long after our clothes ended up on the floor and the rest of the night was blur.
