Chapter 2: The Meeting

Matthew's POV

Im in Los Angeles, after 12 seasons of being in Detroit, Im now going to be the starting Quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams. How the trade happened is the crazy part, who knew a trip to Cabo would result in me going to LA. Im excited to work with a new team, I may be a veteran quarterback, but I'm still doing well. After settling into my new place in L.A. I have to go to Sofi to meet with Sean McVay. After figuring out how to get there, cuz LA sure aint easy to navigate through plus how busy it can be.  I arrived at the stadium, which is said to be the most expensive NFL stadium in the country. I made my way to McVay's office, " Hey Matthew, how's LA treating you so far," McVay asked. "I'm surprised that locals can get around this city, it's confusing," I said. " Yeah, you'll get used to that," he said. " Oh, and the assistant coach should be here shortly, so you two can meet," Sean McVay said.  Just then a young woman came into the room, I have to admit she was a beautiful woman. " Matthew Stafford, I'd like you to meet Y/N L/N, the assistant coach of the Rams," Sean said.

Y/N's POV

Sean had called for me again, and I was thinking about why. I went from my office to his office. As I entered the room. I felt my heart stop for a split second, there standing with Sean was Matthew Stafford. I had completely forgotten that today was the day that I was going to meet him.  Then I heard Sean say " Matthew Stafford, I'd like you to meet Y/N L/N, the assistant coach of the Rams," " And fun fact is she went to Georgia just like you did," Sean said. " you went to Georgia too, wow that is something, its nice to meet you, Y/N," Matthew said. " Yea, I did, and it's a pleasure to meet you too, Matthew," I said. " Well, Im looking forward to working with you, this season," Matthew said with a smile " So am I, I hope everything goes well," I said. That smile, he was so cute, I was trying so hard to not make a fool of myself. " also, Matthew, Y/N has been kind of a big fan of yours since your Georgia days," Sean said. Really, Sean, I'm going to get him later for that. " Oh really, is that true," Matthew asked me. " Yeah, I watched you play at Georgia in high school,and after you were drafted to the Lions, I was a fan of the Lions, since the Rams were in St. Louis still," I said. " Oh wow, when did you attend Georgia," Matthew asked. " 2010 to 2015," I said. " Hey, Y/N why don't you give Matthew a tour of the stadium since he's here, and that way you can get to know him," Sean said. " sure, sounds great to me," Matthew said. Great now it's just going to be me and him, showing this big stadium. I'm really going to get Sean for this. Matthew walked out the door first, and before I did Sean said " you'll be thanking me later for this," " Until then, I'm definitely going to get you for this," I said before walking out the door.
