(Warning: You hear the result of Thanos's torture. Screaming, not gory. Thanks for reading!)

(Your Pov)

"Miss Y/N." A voice chuckled, as you slowly became aware of your surroundings. You were sitting at an interrogation table, hands cuffed before you. "You have had quite the life."

What... who was talking? You peeked your eyes open, scanning the darkened room. He was standing at the door. "Where am I?"

"You are in a very big heap of trouble." He started walking forward, allowing you to better look at his features. A trench coat covered most of his body, but the eyepatch was unmistakable. "No citizenship, no legal identity of any sort, not even the remnants of a prior life." He paused, his eyeball staring you down. "Yet somehow you show up in every history book of the past eon."

Oh God.

They finally caught you.

A thousand different names for a thousand different groups, but there was always some sect of the government searching to suppress the magical. In today's world? That would be Shield.

"Are you suggesting that I have lived for over a thousand years?"

"I'm not suggesting." He said, sitting across from you with a sigh. "I just need the truth. What weapon did you use to stop the truck? What are you?"

First, he insinuates that you're immortal. Then he has the gall to act like you're an alien! Without telling you the smallest bit of information about himself, nor his company.

So you pinch your lips, resigning yourself to play a game of your own. "I'm not going to tell you anything until you answer those questions yourself."

He chuckled. "I am 100% human flesh and blood. Can you say the same?"

"No. No I cannot." You flash a smile, not offering any more info. You already knew he was human. "What's your name?"

"Not until you answer some of my questions."

Again with this? "Y/N L/N, 100% Earthling. Happy?"

"It's a start." He pulled a set of documents from his coat pocket, spreading them before you. There were pictures, readings, energy signatures, and all sorts of data about your burst of magic. "I am the Director of Shield. But you are not an Earthling."

"Earthling does not mean human, Director." You laugh, as a groggy voice woke in your mind. Not the time, Loki. You didn't need his self-absorbed ass distracting you from dealing with this situation. He didn't use to be this way. You were in love with the Loki who didn't care about power, greed, control... Whatever this phase was, it was driving a wedge between you. And being soulmates? Such things were rarely possible. "But if I have lived here without causing trouble, then there is no reason to keep-"

"Who are you?" Loki snapped, feet hitting a gravel floor. You choked on your words, as your heard him question someone. Where was he? Did he find himself in a similar situation?

You look back to the Director, acting as if you simply lost your train of thought. "-no reason to keep me here. I protected myself. How is that illegal?"

But instead of buying your lie, he looked at you strangely. "What was that?"

"What was what?"

"Your pause." He talked slowly, as if it would help him pry out the information. "What did you just realise?"

Realise? No, no. What did you just hear. But you didn't say such a correction, taking a moment to plan your movements. It would be best if these people simply let you go. However, the longer you sat here, the more you realised that wasn't going to happen. Not if you were 'alien', magic, and basically immortal.
