(Your Pov)

Fury entered the room, fully prepared with a thousand questions. Some were professional, others personal, although most flirted on the line between the two. "...And have you spoken with Loki since your arrival?" He knew the answer. You knew he did. But that didn't stop the director from being an ass and asking it anyway.

"I have not seen Loki, nor talked to him face-to-face, in all of my existence." You flash a smile, knowing the answer would have to be enough for now. 'I hear Loki 24/7' could be considered criminal if they really wanted to reincarcerate you. But fortunately, Fury was on your side. And he let the question pass.

They didn't understand your relationship. And that was fine, really. In the minds of the mortals, Loki was simply the madman who tried to destroy New York and everyone in it. You knew the truth, but you refrained from saying so. It was Loki's story. He should be the one to tell the others, whether the Avengers, Shield, or the public.

"Do you have any intention to break the guidelines set during or after your parole?"

"No."

"Do you have any grievances whatsoever with Shield, the Avengers, or any of the authorities that took part in your arrest?" Fury said, knowing this would be a weak spot. Yes, you did have grievances with the people that kept you barely awake for months. But you would take up your vengeance through the proper channels first. The Avengers reassured you over and over that no one would ever go through what you did again. Not by the hand of Shield. The team made sure of it.

You look up at the Director. "It is my understanding that my grievances have already been dealt with."

He liked that. Fury chuckled, marking down your response in the small batch of files he kept. Natasha muttered something about a 'smart answer', leaving the matter to rest after her comment. But with all the inquiries resolved, he set the papers down at his side. "I think we're all set for tomorrow, then."

Finally. And strangely enough, nothing went wrong. "Any questions?"

"Yes, actually." Oh yes, you had quite the collection of your own questions. Would you be allowed to see Loki? Go outside the tower? Use magic eventually? In fact... "How exactly does the anti-magic rule work? The Avengers just have to report what I do, right?"

The Director caught your eye, as the others watched on hesitantly. "Yes?" For your first question to be about magic was... suspicious. In the eyes of those who knew little about it, anyway.

"So if I, let's say... magic up breakfast one day, they would report that."

"Yes." Fury looked concerned; confused where you were taking this series of questions. As did the others, although it seemed Clint's enthusiastic expression simply stemmed from the free breakfast part.

"But would I get in trouble for using magic to make breakfast?"

The others released the breath they were holding, realising why you were asking these things. "No. Consequences are dependent on your magic being used to destroy, deface, injure, kill, escape, or otherwise participate in illegal activities." He spared you a small smile.

Fury was strange. He worked as the Director of those who wanted you behind bars, and yet didn't want such a fate himself. He seemed to be allied more with the Avengers than with the organization. Not to say you were complaining; the more people working toward your release, the better. But as you met with him today, it seemed Fury finally understood your condition. "Anything else?"

"How long would it be until I'm let out of the tower?"

Fury sighed, answering every other type of question you could throw at him. From imprisonment, to magic, to Loki, to questions about missions. Would you be allowed to leave the tower? No. When could you leave the tower? Undecided. What about leaving on missions? You're not going on missions until you're off of tower-arrest. When would you be free of tower-arrest? As soon as Shield sees your good behavior and releases you. What does good behavior mean? Sitting around and waiting, essentially. Could you decide how to spend your time? Yes, but training needs to be done. Magic training or physical? Everything. What about Loki? What about Loki. Could you see him? Yes. Could you talk to him? Yes. Could you pursue a relationship with your soulmate?
