The sound of the spray paint filled the night, mixing with the breeze that ran through the trees.

The chemicals fill our lungs, changing our headspace from anything but normal. Hyunjin laughs "Dude, officer Smith is gonna kill us with this one"

We step back and look at our work. "I think he should thank you for this free paint job," I said. The police car is covered in different colors and my eyes go to the dick.

"Minho you are a menace" I throw my arm around my best friend as he laughs.

"It's my signature" He smiles at me.

The sound of footsteps hitting the gravel and panting made us turn around to a running Seungmin "Guys we have to run!"

I furrow my brows and see security running behind Seungmin. "Oh, shit" I curse under my breath and start running, Hyunjin a little ahead of me. I run and look back, grabbing Minho's hand to help him pick up his pace.

We ran into the trees, trying not to trip over the branches that scattered the floor. The sound of leaves crunching underneath each step.

We ran and ran until we made it to the other side of the trees, a familiar park. I pull Minho into the playground equipment to hide. Truthfully, I have no idea where Hyunjin or Seungmin went but right now all I cared about was us.

I squeezed my eyes shut from the aching feeling in my ribs from the run. I wasn't that physically fit so I was in pain. My head falls back as I try to calm my breathing.

"Do you think they got away?"

I open my eyes to see Minho staring at me and shrug "Hopefully" I look around and it was quiet, the sound of an owl was the only thing being heard along with our breathing. Feeling Minho's eyes still on me, I look at him. "If my mom goes into my room, I'm fucked"

Minho chuckles "You'll be fine, sweetheart"

I roll my heart "You gotta stop with the pet names"

Minho smiles "Why? Making you feel too special?"

I push myself up and look around again, I look down at Minho and hold out my hand for him to take "Coast is clear"

Minho takes my hand and stands up, both of us getting off the playground and starting our walk home.

"Changbin is going to lecture us" Minho says with a low breathy chuckle

I nod at his words "Being the dad of the group must be exhausting"

Minho bumps my shoulder "Especially with us, we're troublemakers"

I look and Minho and chuckle "Partners in crime" I added and Minho looks at me.

"I like that, it fits us"

I stare back ahead and we fall into a conversation of lord knows what. Jumping from topic to topic before we split ways.

Climbing back into my window, the light flicks on "Mom will have a great time hearing about this"

I see my sisters in the doorway and sigh "Wouldn't you have a blast doing the honors to tell mom about my late-night activities"

She grimaced "You wreak of weed"

"Why are you even in my room?" She stares at me and I shake my head "Doesn't matter, just get out"

"Fine, mom sometimes sends me to check on you since my room is the closest" She crosses her arms.

Figures. They had their eyes on me any chance they got.

I sit on my bed and look at her "That means you came in here other times to find me not in bed"

"True"

"And you never told them before"

She sighs softly "Maybe I was just waiting for the right time to tell our parents that their son is back to his old ways" My jaw clenched and my stomach dropped "Or maybe I just don't want to break their hearts with your selfish ways"

I look down "You don't know anything Nora, don't act like you do" I look up and stare into her eyes.

"Hard to know when all you do is close everyone out" She pushed.

I scoff "Like you care"

"You're my... b-brother"

"And yet it's still so hard for you to say it, why? Because I'm fucked up?" I ask her now "Because you believe mom and dad should have sent me away last time, right?"

"Whatever Jisung" She walks to the doors and stops, not looking at me "And yes, I do think they should have sent you off because maybe you wouldn't be repeating history"

I watched her walk out of the room and I sigh. Feeling the loneliness creep in and I look at my bed, the cold bed.

She had a point, they should have sent me off but I begged them not to. I couldn't leave, I would be all alone and that scared me.
