𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄

| LIBARY |

"Where do you think the last one would be?" Leon had asked me,
"Uhhh..honestly I think the only place we can access right now is the library, it's right behind this door." I walked over to the door on the left and placed my hand on the doorframe and looked at Leon, he did the same and we gave each other a nod.
Once again I opened the door and we both walked in - guns pointed.
A female started walking towards us and we both shot at the same time, two bullets to the head taking her down.
there was a body on the floor, on the left side of one of the tables in the library, the body had a police officer outfit, Leon shook his head and let out a sigh, lowering his gun to his side to rub his forehead. "There's death everywhere in the station..I can only imagine the rest of the city.."
I lowered my gun and placed my hand on Leon's shoulder to give him atleast some kind of comfort, "Everyone of these citizens are innocent.." Leon whispered to me, "It's so tragic..but the only thing we can do is find out what happened, and try our best to put a stop to this - for all the innocent victims."
Leon nodded at my little speech and raised his gun again.
I decided to look to my right and walk up the steps that were next to us, which led us to a door, once again I held my gun while i opened the door and quickly pointed it to make sure there wasn't any zombies in the room.

| WEST STORAGE ROOM |

I took a few steps into the room when i was jump-scared by a zombie hanging from the ceiling that tried reaching down to grab me.
Leon quickly came up from behind me and shot him in the head, making him drop to the floor - dead.
my breathing heavy i looked at Leon, holding my chest. "Jesus.." I mumbled all while Leon giggled, rolling my eyes i replied "You think that's funny rookie, huh?" I squinted my eyes, teasing him with the word Rookie. "Yes..as a matter of fact, I do." A grin on his face he took a few steps towards me and patted my shoulder, "It's okay short-stuff, i'll watch for ceiling zombies for ya." He teased right back at me. I gasped dramatically and did a quick turn, making my hair whip at him.
Now I admit it was cringe, but hey - what else can a girl do to make a statement!
"Uh hey Leon? This looks like it could be blown up." I quickly pointed out at the cell where there was wooden boards and a perfect place for a detonator to go. He rushed over to my side while I pulled out the detonator we found a little while ago; placing it in the perfect spot, the 10 second timer started and we bolted to the door, there was a bookshelf right beside the door for us to take cover while the timer went down.
"Tick....Tick...Tick..Tick..BOOM!"
The blast wave was a little harsh, but nothing Leon or I couldn't handle.
our hearts dropped when we heard a licker scream, turning towards eachother our eyes went wide. We decided we had to get to the statue - and fast. I ran towards the cell to try and unlock the Statue puzzle while Leon waited by the door.

After a while I finally figured out the puzzle and pulled the Medallion from its pedestal, "Leon I got it!" I called, completely forgetting about the licker.
I walked to the edge of the cell when the licker fell down from the ceiling, my eyes went wide — I needed to think and fast.
it charged at me while I reached for a flash bang, but just as it was about to slash me Leon came up behind it and stabbed it, pinning it to the floor he then stabbed it in the heart a few times, making the licker scream in pain before it stopped moving.
I punched Leon in the shoulder, "I thought you were gonna look out for the ceiling for me Rookie!" I huffed, Leon shook his head and began laughing, "Hey! in my defense that wasn't a zombie, I said ceiling zombies." Though all jokes and laughs went out the window when Leon noticed a tiny scratch on my shirt from where the licker had gotten just a tiny slice, "Are you okay?" He sounded really worried, trying to get a closer look to make sure - though not too close since it was near my cleavage.
I glanced down and noticed the cut, it was bleeding a little bit. "Oh- yeah I'm fine, I don't even feel it. Though I think i'll still need to clean it." I shrugged it off, not wanting to worry Leon anymore than I already have.
We stood for a few minutes while Leon helps me clean my wound.

Lifting my shirt so Leon could clean the cut, Leon's face went red when he blushed, noticing I then started blushing too - he coughed before he started treating the cut. I moved my bra just a little bit out of the way in case he needed the space, but that only made him more flustered.
He quickly finished up and I let my shirt fall back down my figure, letting out a gentle sigh - I knew that me and Leon wouldn't forget this moment.

'Jesus Christ Leon get it together!'

"Uh Leon?.." I spoke, tapping his shoulder which made him snap out of his thoughts, he stared at me for a second "Are you okay?.." "Yes, sorry..I didn't mean to worry you Val." He gave me a smile.

| MAIN HALL |

We started walking back to the door we came in from, "So that's the last one right?" He pointed to the medallion I had stuffed in my pocket, "Yes sir! Now let's get this shit show on the road." I chuckled and walked down the steps, out of the library down to the main hall where Marvin was.
I handed Leon the two medallions so he could put them in their slots while I went to check on Marvin. "Hey Marvin, how ya holding up?" "Never..been better.." He spoke sarcastically with a chuckle after.
When Leon placed both medallions next to the other one we previously put in there, a secret staircase started to be revealed, "Well don't you worry Marvin, I promise that once we make it out of here we'll get you to a hosp-" "No! Save yourselves..I'll only slow you and Leon down.." He looked down at his lap, shaking his head. Leon walked down the steps to slowly push open the white gated door, "So it goes underground huh.. this must be our way out." Leon was thinking out loud, before walking over to us after hearing his name being spoken, "Marvin we can't just lea-" "No No I- save yourselves.." "Come on..i've got you.." "NO!" Marvin screamed when Leon went to pull him up from the seat, "Marvin we can still make it out of here if you give us-"
Marvin reached for his gun and pointed it at Leon, staring at him silently for a few seconds before speaking, "It's too..late...I tried..but I couldn't stop it..We can't let this thing spread..it's on the both of you now...just go.."  He starte tearing up, his lip quivering. "We understand." Leon spoke, nodding his head at Marvin.

| SECRET ROOM |

Leon helped me up off my knees, and led the way to the stairs. Once I reached the first step I turned back to look at Marvin, I couldn't help but feel nothing but sadness, but who wouldn't?
I must've gotten lost in my own thoughts because Leon tugged on my hand, making me snap out of my thoughts, "Come on Val." He held my hand while we walked down the steps, the passageway started to slowly close behind us, so we had to make sure we made it completely off of the steps and into the secret room it led us down into.

HIIIII OMGG!! it's been a really long time!!! I know this chapter might not be as long as the others BUT- i'm trying to make sure this book has a lot of chapters, so i'm doing my best to split up the game parts and write extra scenes!
I wanted to write this chapter fast so I could publish it before I went to sleep, but hopefully soon i'll be posting more chapters!! anyways - thank you guys for the support on this story, but i hope this chapter is still enjoyable.
