We turned to our right once we got back in the water, we slid down the side of the wall again - all the green water and trash flying in our faces, I almost threw up while Leon was gagging. "Argh..Shit." He coughed.
The two of us continued walking through the water as best as we could - side by side, though occasionally we'd have to go in a line from how much trash was in the water. Once again to our left there was a blue looking door that looked like it needed a tool to be opened with, we pressed onward and eventually made it to where it split off again, we went left once again and hopped up on the dry ground.
"Yuck. I'm never going to take taking showers for granted ever again. not after tonight." I huffed out, Leon at my side with a gentle laugh. "Yeah. Me too." Once again that dorky smile on his face, it never failed to make me smile or blush.
In this moment I didn't realize the feelings I had for him had begun to develop, they were more than just friendship feelings, I felt connected to him in ways I hadn't with anyone else - maybe it was the trauma that bonded us together, but either way..I wasn't going to take this gift from God for granted.

| CABLE CAR PLATFORM |

Leon and I continued on, walking down the short stretched hall to continue up the few stairs that was on our right, Leon walked in front of me with his gun aimed while he slowly opened the door in front of us.
Leon walked through and held the door open for me, once I began walking in he disappeared off to the side. My eyes wondered while stepping through, they gazed across emptiness and a cable car above us to the right and that's where Leon was, he had taken a few steps upwards so there would be enough room for us both. "A cable car.. interesting.." Leon whispered, "What would a cable car be doing all the way down here?" I asked, mainly talking to myself aloud. "Guess we'll have to find out." Leon spoke.
Thankfully there was a railing around the little platform I stood on, and then some going up the steps. We made our way up further until we made it to what looked like a control room. Luckily for us there were no zombies in the room, it was empty of creatures.
Leon and I quickly searched the room only to find a few bullets that we split between us and a few pieces of paper that read, "Copy of Emails to Umbrella HQ.
Director Owens.
There are alarms going off all over NEST. I don't know what's going on, but I can hear gunfire and I can't reach my section chief. We're trapped. Please send help ASAP.

Director Owens.
The situation here is dire. NEST has been contaminated with the virus. It's unbelievable. The failsafe system didn't activate at all. Is this the work of outsiders? I can't imagine who else it could be. But why? Mayer and kim are dead and I can't stop coughing. Why won't you answer me!?"

Director Owens.
You... It was you all a"

"Jesus..take a look at this." Leon handed me the paper for me to read, after I did I shook my head, "We just got more information on what's going on. What's NEST? That must be the place where the virus came from." "That seems like the only logical explanation. But let's not jump the gun for now..besides.. we don't even know what or where 'NEST' is." I nodded in agreement, my eyes searched the room around us and soon enough I noticed a hole in the floor that we could jump down so Leon helped me lower myself down, I then helped him and he helped me down one last time while I helped him.

| MONITOR ROOM |

In front of us was a big glass window that stretched out a lot. I took a look through only to notice on the other end was a trash room - and right down in the middle of it looked like a person. "Leon..is that..Ada?!" I gasped and grabbed his arm to pull him over to look. We peered over looking through the window "Ada!" Leon called out but no response. "We're coming, Ada." He spoke aloud almost as if he was talking to himself, I nodded in agreement and began searching the room for clues.
On the wall next to Leon there was a map of the 'Sewers' taped to the wall. I snatched it off and began looking at it. Meanwhile Leon was looking behind us, he noticed a dvd player and pulled out the dvd we found earlier from his pocket and pushed it into the player to see if it still worked. It did! "Val..come take a look at this." He eyed me to come over so I did, we began watching the tape which showed..

"Leon..who the fuck was that?" "I don't know..but if I had to guess - he's the man that started all this." "And what about Annette? Ada said she's the one who makes the viruses, so how is he involved?" "I don't know..we'll have to wait and see.." Leon sighed, "But that's how the virus got out! It was spread throughout the sewers by the rats which eventually was spread to the surface and everyone became infected." The cassette pushed back out, Leon grabbed it and set it on the table the tv and the cassette player. I glanced over to the right and saw a locked door - it looked crazy. I walked over to it while Leon was behind me. "Maybe this is how we get down to Ada." We both looked over to the left and saw all the missing pieces to the puzzle. "Leon..that puzzle piece we came across earlier..that looks like something that would go here!" "I wonder if all the pieces are down here, it seems that there's only a few missing, so hopefully."

Hello loves! I apologize for the absence once again but I was seriously so busy all week! I just had time to sit down and finish this chapter (while falling asleep, which is why it's so short!) Hopefully i'll have another chapter out in the next few days <33
