| THE SEWERS |

"Aw fuck!" He called out, landing on the floor. I quickly holsted my gun and dropped to my knees to check on Leon. "Hey hey..it's going to be okay.." I assured him, running my hands along his shoulder, he was in so much pain. I felt so bad with the noises he was making.
Ada wasn't focused on me or Leon whatsoever, just Annette. Once Annette was out of sight Ada then turned her attention to Leon and rolled her eyes, "We had her! Shit!" She grunted, leaning against the nearest wall.
I helped Leon to sit up against the wall across from where Ada was, "It's okay, I'm gonna patch you up - promise." I gave him a smile, Leon reached out to grab my hand and hold it tightly.
My cheeks flushed a pretty pink, I tried not to pay too much attention since the man was literally bleeding from a bullet wound. "I trust you." He whispered, which made me smile. "Leon we have nothing to take the bullet out with..until we can get out of this place, you'll have the bullet stuck in your shoulder, which is dangerous." The grip he had on my hand only got tighter when I finished my sentence, "But I can wrap you up.." I had to let go of his hand - earning a whine from him. It broke my heart to do so, but I had to grab the bandage out of my back pocket. I cleaned the wound as best as I could with what I had and then wrapped his shoulder up.

Leon's Shoulder was now bandaged and I could relax, I sat down next to him with my back against the wall, I was so scared I was going to end up making the wound worse - though I am still worried about the remains of the bullet resting inside Leon's shoulder, we would have to get it surgically removed once we made it out..or if we did.
"Thank you Val, I don't know where I'd be without you..you've saved me many times today. i'm grateful." Leon turned his attention to me and smiled, I turned my head to return the look, I noticed his cheeks were flushed which quickly made my face heat up "Yeah..it's no problem, Rookie." I nudged his shoulder and we laughed together.
Meanwhile Ada was on the other end of the hall, she looked like she was secretly trying to talk to someone on her radio but I couldn't tell. I still didn't trust her but now wasn't the time to accuse eachother of anything.

Leon fell asleep with his head resting on my shoulder, I didn't dare move or else he would've woken. He deserved some rest after all we've gone through tonight - hell we all did.
My eyes began to close every so often, and eventually I drifted off into slumber.

| A HOUR LATER |

I was awoken by Leon gently shaking me, "Val, come on Val wake up." He sounded so sweet and his voice was as gentle as it could be - he really was a gentleman.
My eyes fluttered open and I quickly looked around the room - my eyes still blurry, I was then met with Leon's big forehead in my face. "God I can't see past that." I joked with him and he rolled his eyes, "Yeah well,  yours isn't much bigger." He commented, it just made me chuckle.
I rubbed my eyes, "Do you know where Ada is?" "She isn't here?" "No, it looks like she left a little after we fell asleep."
Me and Leon were very confused since Ada was nowhere to be seen, I stood up and stretched my muscles while Leon did the same, he began wincing in pin from his shoulder. "Shit, I forgot about this.." He groaned and went to gently touch his shoulder. "I think it will hurt until we get that bullet out of you, until then you'll just have to hang on." I reassured him and he just nodded, "Ada?!" Leon and I called out for the woman a few times, but we got no response.

| THE SEWERS |

To our right was a little elevator, we had nowhere else to go so me and Leon just got on that, once it stopped we got off, it looked like we were definitely in the sewers now. "God the smell-" I covered my nose and so did Leon, we walked down the steps and it looked like we had to jump into the water. I groaned and shook my head, "I swear if we get out of here i'm never going to step out of the shower." "I'm right there with you." He laughed.

We both stepped down into the sewage and walked forward, we slid down the side of the wall and landed in MORE sewage, "YUCK! This is fucking disgusting." I complained.
"Be careful Val, we don't know what's down here, it's unexplored territory." Leon reminded me and I nodded, my mind raced with thoughts of what could actually be down here and my heart started racing.

Me and Leon continued walking through the sewage water, there were just piles of trash on both sides of the wall in the hall, to the left there was a place we could step up on, though it looked like it needed some kind of tool to open the door, so we kept going forward. A little further down there was a place where it split off, there were two ways but one looked darker than the other - so naturally we decided to go to the right. Once we reached almost the end we saw a weird looking creature half under the water, once we got closer it made a really weird and loud noise and sunk under the water. "What the fuck?!" Leon called out, "Hurry." I rushed him to the end where we could step out of the water, once we did I let out a little sigh, "That thing was probably going to try and grab us from under the water or something." "Yeah, it's a good thing we got out of there when we did Val."  I nodded to him and continued onward.
There were a few steps in front of us that we took, not much further there were a few bodies everywhere, they looked to be maybe fbi or something? One of them had a tape next to them so I grabbed it, Leon looked at me confused and I flashed him the tape, "Seems useful, but where are we going to find a dvd player?" Leon shrugged, but I decided to keep it just in case. We kept going upwards, it led us to a really weird room. There was a gap in the middle of the floor though it was secure with bars, to the right was a locked room and down in front of us was a weird contraption.
A few zombies held the room hostage so me and Leon had to take care of them, though once we did we walked over to the area where it looked like the floor could move. It seemed to be that there was a chess piece holding it in place, once you take it out the floor will go up, but if you keep it in there it will stay the same. At the end of the little hallway was another room, it said it was locked as well. "Both of those doors probably need the same key, but this chess piece looks important." "Very, though it is a little strange that something like that would be needed somewhere down here, but it's always better to be safe than sorry." Leon said and stuck the piece in his pocket, the floor lifted up into the air. We looked to the left and tried walking through the door, but it was locked. "Fuck, looks like the only way might be there that little hallway." "Yeah, maybe." Leon put the piece back and the floor lowered once again, we carefully walked down the hall and to the right, we walked down the little steps and had to get into MORE sewer water.
