MISUNDERSTANDING

Next day

Seokjin's POV

Today, I had class, so I was cooking breakfast for Hoba and me. After what happened yesterday, I wasn't sure how to face Hoba. He was still sleeping. Yesterday, when I came out of the washroom, I pretended to sleep to avoid his teasing. But now, I really didn't know what to do.

"Boo!" Hoba suddenly shouted, making me jump.

"Aishh, what the hell, Hoba? Are you out of your mind?" I yelled, my heart racing. Was he crazy? I would literally have a heart attack.

"Hyung, you got scared," Hoba said, teasing me. "Anyway, what were you thinking, or should I say, about whom were you thinking, that you didn't even feel my presence?"

Oh no, this was exactly what I was worried about. I could feel my face growing hotter. Yesterday, Taehyung's slight touch near my lips still lingered in my mind. I shrugged, trying to shake off the feeling. What was happening to me? I didn't want to go through the same emotions I had experienced years ago.

Lost in thought, I didn't even realize that my omelette was about to burn. Luckily, Hoba's yell brought me back to my senses.

"Yaaah!!! Hyung, stop thinking about your Taehyung and concentrate on your cooking. Otherwise, we'll have to go to the university on an empty stomach today!"

I didn't respond to Hoba's teasing and instead focused on finishing making the breakfast. Afterward, I went to take a shower. When I returned, I packed my things for university, had breakfast with Hoba. He had stopped teasing me as he became busy chatting with someone on his phone.

At the university 

Author's POV

Jin and Hoseok were walking through the corridor towards their locker, arriving a bit earlier than usual. Suddenly, someone jumped onto Jin's back. Initially startled, Jin quickly recognized the familiar cologne and realized who it was.

"Yeah, Kangaroo, get down! You're heavy, man. My back will break," Jin said.

"No, hyung, carry me to the locker room. You know what? I missed you a lot these past two days," Jungkook replied, flashing his signature bunny smile.

Jin didn't respond, but instead carried Jungkook to the locker room. "Yeah, we're here now. Get down," Jin said, feigning annoyance.

As soon as Jungkook got down, Jin hit him hard on the head, saying, "Yeah, punk! Where were you hiding these past two days? You couldn't even send us a message. You know how much I and Hoseok..." Jin turned around to look for Hoseok, but he was nowhere to be seen.

Jin asked Jungkook, "Where did he go? He was with us just now, right?"

Jungkook tried to stifle a laugh, saying, "Hyung, if you look down while walking, how do you expect to see your surroundings? I was scared we'd collide with something while you were carrying me!"

Jin hit Jungkook's shoulder, saying, "Shut your mouth and tell me where he went!"

Jungkook teased, "If I shut my mouth, how can I tell you?" But seeing Jin's serious expression, he relented, saying, "Hyung, I'm kidding. He went with Yoongi hyung somewhere. And hyung..." Jungkook suddenly hugged Jin tightly.

Jin's expression softened, and he hugged Jungkook back. Jungkook continued, "I really missed you, hyung. I'm sorry for making you worried. After so long, you and Hobi came back, but instead of partying with you and Hobi, I'm busy solving my relationship issues. What can I do, hyung? You tell me. He's important to me too."
