Sujin's POV

*knock knock* I forced myself to get out of bed just to open the door. "Sorry to wake you up, love." He hugged me. "Sunghoon, what if someone sees us?!" I tried pushing him away but he pulled me closer. "I don't care, I haven't seen you in a week." "Sunghoon, you are getting married to Lady Mijin." "I don't want to get married to her. I want you."

"Wanna go to the garden?" "But what if someone catches us-" "Then, I'll threaten to execute them." "Sunghoon-" "Shush now, let's go!" He brought me to my window before looking to see anyone outside. Then, he jumped. "SUNGHOON?!" I quietly yelled not to wake anybody up. "Jump." "But-" "Jump, don't worry, I'll catch you." I took a deep breath before trusting my life on this idiot.

I felt someone hold me tightly as I opened my eyes. "See, I caught you." He placed me back on my feet before dragging me to the garden. "Sunghoon-" My eyes caught sight of a decorated picnic mat beside a tree. "Remember this tree? We first met under this tree."  We were 8 years old then.

Wait, where did Cho run off to? I kept looking for him everywhere until I saw his tail from behind a tree. I rushed up to the tree to see a boy petting Cho. "Umm, that's my cat, Cho." "Oh, I saw him chasing after a bird before almost falling into the river." I knelt down and stroked Cho's fur. "Cho, never go chasing a bird without me." He just meowed making both me and the boy chuckle.

"What's your name?" "My name is Choi Sujin. You?" "Sunghoon, Park Sunghoon." "Wait, the crown prince has the same name as you!" "Maybe because, I am the crown prince?" "WHAT?!" "Sujin-shi, your knee is bleeding!" "Oh this, I just tripped over a branch."

"Let me disinfect it." "Disinfesh what?!" "Disinfect, it means to clean your wound to destroy the bacteria." "Oh, you are very smart, Prince Sunghoon." "Just call me Sunghoon will ya?" "But-" "We're friends now." He smiled at me before taking out a bandage and a weird bottle. "Thanks."

We were having such a great picnic before hearing someone yell. We turned to see Sunghoon's parents. The King and Queen. "Mom, Dad. Let's have a conversation inside." I could clearly see that they were mad but still agreed. The King brought us to the meeting room. "Explain." The King said glaring at Sunghoon. "I don't want to marry Mijin." "Why exactly?" "It might be quite rude to say." "Say it."

"Firstly, she is cheating on me with Lord Euijoo. She's just a whore who loves money and fame, she only agreed to marry me just for fame and wealth. She looks down upon maids and 'ordinary people'. She doesn't take care of her room and takes advantage of the maids. Sujin on the other hand, is loyal. Even though he is a mere maid, she actually cares about people. She treats me like a normal person, I want her to treat me like a normal person. She is the one I love and want to marry."

The King and Queen looked at each other before hesitantly nodding. "Fine, we'll cut off the marriage. But Sujin needs some royal lessons before marrying you." The King said making the Queen nod. She continues saying, "I've always loved Sujin anyways. Mijin was just not good in any way.

The two of us left the meeting room hugging. "Hey, don't do anything yet. Wait till you both get married!"
