(idk how to explain that hyejin doesnt like to talk or generally doesn't talk. she wasn't born mute or whatever my brain isnt braining rn-)

Hyejin is a mute young girl who almost never has a smile on her face. No one knows why, everyone thinks she's just always in a bad mood. Meanwhile, Jaeyun is the opposite. He's known as the happiest man in the entire neighbourhood.

Hyejin walks to school, listening to her album. But there isn't any day without someone disturbing her peace. "Good morning, Hyejin!" Jaeyun wrapped his arms around her shoulders as he smiled brightly.

Hyejin pushed him away, making the boy pout. Hyejin continued walking to school as the boy followed her around like a puppy. It was nothing new to her, he had been doing this routine for 3 years.

She sat for class as Jaeyun sat beside her. She was mute, some had asked Jaeyun why he'd always follow her around even if she was unresponsive. But Jaeyun would smile before ignoring the question.

Jaeyun noticed Hyejin was struggling with her classwork. "This is how you do it." He started helping her as she stared at him. He was really close to her, Hyejin felt... nervous? She didn't know how to explain the feeling.

It was like her heartbeat was racing but she wasn't scared or uncomfortable. And she felt... happy?

Jaeyun had noticed Hyejin's cute reaction to him. He ruffled her hair, "Stop being a cutie and do your work." Jaeyun smiled before going up to the board to answer one of the questions. Hyejin panicked as she covered her face with her hair. She felt her cheeks heating up as she unconsciously smiled.

During lunch, she went up to the rooftop. Hyejin ate her food while listening to music. Music was one thing that made her happy. Before she could process anything, someone took out one of her earbuds and wore it.

Hyejin turned around to see Jaeyun, vibing his head to the music. "You have amazing taste in songs!" Hyejin nodded as she looked away, still shy from before. "Hyejin, can I ask you a question?"

She was curious about what he had in mind, so she nodded. "Do you... have a crush on anyone?" She froze, processing what he had said. The first person that popped up into her mind hearing the word crush was none other than Sim Jaeyun.

Hyejin vigorously shook her head as a no, Jaeyun laughed. He placed his head on her shoulder making her more nervous than ever. "I just wanna tell you that I've liked you for a long time." Hyejin blinked, once again being slow in processing his words.

"It's not that obvious right?" In fact, it was VERY obvious to everyone that Jaeyun liked Hyejin. "I just wanted to know if you liked me back. And I have an idea." She raised her eyebrows, suddenly very curious. 

"If you want to reject me, please leave. If you don't, can you... kiss me?" Hyejin widened her eyes as her heart raced. She looked around before hesitantly getting closer to Jaeyun. She softly and slowly pecked his lips as she turned away quickly.

She tried running but instead, Jaeyun grabbed her arm and hugged her. "Thank you, Hyejin." Hyejin slowly wrapped her arms around his waist before getting picked up by the boy. "Can I kiss you?" He asked as she hesitantly nodded.

Jaeyun gently kissed her lips as she closed her eyes. They kissed for a few seconds until Hyejin started pushing Jaeyun. Hyejin looked away as she breathed in and out. Jaeyun chuckled, finding the girl adorable.

"Well then, I might be kissing you a lot in this relationship~" He teased as Hyejin kicked his leg making him groan. She left the rooftop smiling like a fool. Little did she know Jaeyun was smiling like a bigger and taller fool. I mean, he'd obviously smile like a fool-
