In this story, I will be talking about soulmates. Do soulmates even exist, you may ask? Well, in this alternate world, yes it does. 

On the day of a person's 18th birthday, they would get their own sign. A sign is a type of birthmark. Everyone has a different sign, except for the two soulmates.

25th of July is the day that Choi Minji turns 18. She woke up as someone shook her. "Jiji, your sign!" A little boy shouted as Minji stared at her arms in confusion. "There's nothing here?" "No, Jiji. It's on your face!" 

Minji stood up and looked in the mirror. There was a little smiley face right under her left eye. It was unusual for someone to get a sign on their face. Hence, the reason why Minji was worried.

 How could she find her soulmate when the sign was really small? She'd have to get up real close to his face, to see the little smile.

Minho, the little boy smiled as he pointed to his sister's face. "Jiji, you got a smiley face since you always smile!" Minhi smiled slightly before ruffling the boy's hair. She got ready for school before cycling her way there.

She walked through the hallway, trying to avoid any unnecessary attention. She succeeded and headed her way to the science lab. 

The science lab was fairly unpopular, which meant it was always empty. Minji thought it was the perfect place for her to just sit and draw before classes started.

What she hadn't noticed was that there was someone watching her. She flinched once a beaker fell out of nowhere. She turned around to see a guy standing still. "Uhm, hi?" Minji blinked before trying to escape.

"Wait!" He grabbed her hand and turned her around. Minji felt a little spark when he touched her. When she turned around, the two faces were quite close. Close enough that he could see a little smile under her eye. 

"Uhm, you left your pencil." He turned away, handing her the pencil. Minji thanked him and left. He sighed as he left for class as well.

During lunch, the guy sat down beside his friends, sighing once again. "Jay, stop sighing like an old man." "I think I found my soulmate." Jay said as his friend, Sunghoon almost spat out his food. "WHAT" His other friend, Jake widened his eyes too.

"Really? Who is she?" "Uhm, you know that girl I've been telling you about?" "The one who smiles like an angel?" Jake wiggled his eyebrows as Jay smacked his face. "Yeah, her." "Damn, your crush is your soulmate."

"How are you gonna tell her?" Sunghoon said biting into Jay's sandwich. "Hmm, I wanna tell her to meet me at the park." "What makes you think she'll agree?" Sunghoon mumbled as he chewed his, or Jay's food. "I don't know- STOP EATING MY FOOD."

After school ended, Jay found Minji about to get on her bike. He hesitantly stopped her. "Hi again." This time, Minji actually said something. "Uhm, hi?" "I just wanted to talk to you for a while. Can you follow me to the park?" 

Minji noticed that he was being quite nervous, so she nodded. She had also noticed that he seemed to have a sign under his eye. Jay stood up in front of her and shut his eyes, taking a deep breath. "I think, we're soulmates." 

Minji widened her eyes as Jay pulled her closer. She felt that little spark once again when he touched her. Minji slowly turned her face to see a little smile, just like hers, under his eye. 

"Uhm, this is awkward..." She let out as he chuckled. "Also, I have had a crush on you for quite a while. Mind if we go out sometimes again?" Jay smiled as Minji pursued her lips, trying not to smile. "Sure."

Five months later, the couple had finally met each other's parents. Minji was tasked with babysitting Minho, but Jay decided to tag along. 

Minho was a big fan of Jay. He thought Jay was a brave man and wanted to be just like him. "Jiji, will you marry Jay Hyung?" He asked as Minji shut his mouth. "Shh, don't say that before he hears-" "Hear what?" 

Minji turned around with a cheeky smile, "Nothing~" "Oh really?" He leaned down to her height as she looked around, avoiding eye contact. "Yup." "I swear I heard someone say these three words: Jiji, Jay and marry." Minji pushed his face away, running to Minho.

"Yah! Never say the word marry again!" "Why??" "Because Jay will tease me nonstop-" "Oh, wifey~" "See what you've done!" Minji smacked Minho's head before running from Jay.
