Malisa's POV

"Ugh, how do you even eat that shit?" "WDYM?!ITS DELICIOUS?!" "It's literally toothpaste." "No, mint choco has CHOCOLATE." "So what, toothpaste and mint?" Here we go again. Sunoo and I are childhood besties. But we have very different tastes. He LOVES mint chocolate stuff, and I don't. I'd rather swallow toothpaste than eat that shit. 

"MAMA I'M HOME!" "Malisa, go feed Yihwa. She must be starving." "Mama, you're her mother-" "SHUT UP YOU WANTED HER!" There she goes again. When I was 4, I begged my mom for a sister. And here I have a sister literally 13 years younger than me. 

Just a fact, my mother is Thai and my father is Korean. That's why our names don't really sound Korean. After feeding my little sister, I went running to Sunoo's house. "SUNOO OPEN THE GODDAMN DOOR WILL YA?!" "I'M COMING YOU LITTLE RATCHET!" "Tsk, too late. Your mint choco has melted." 

"YA HOW DARE YOU-" "Boom, I managed to bring the Kim Sunoo outside." "Just give me the goddamn mint choco." I made my hands into a microphone, "Mr Kim, what would you do if you found out that your bestie did not have any mint choco?" Sunoo smiled sweetly at me. "I would cut off her head and stab her with my very new amazing expensive knife."

We spent the whole day doing, yknow besties stuff. But what he might not know is that, I have a crush on him. I started liking Sunoo way back in 8th grade. But he never noticed my feelings, so I tried hard to forget them. But it's really hard, he always tells me about other girls making me feel even more horrible-

"SHUT UP YOU WHINING MAMMET!" "HELL NAH YOU NINCOMPOOP!" "*GASP* DID YOU JUST CALL ME A NINCOMPOOP, YOU BUFFOON?!"  Daily life of Sunoo and Malisa as besties.

At night, the two of us went out to get ice cream. While waiting for Sunoo to pay for the ice cream (I forced him to), I met one of my old friends. He told me that there was going to be a school reunion soon and that me and Sunoo should come. He left as soon as Sunoo came back. "Who was that?" "It was Seongmin, you remember him right?" "Hmm, but can you not talk to other guys?" 

"What? Why?" "Because..." "Cuz??" "Fine, I might have a slight crush on you." "WHAT" "I know I know, I kept talking about other girls but that was only to make the slightest bit of jealousy." "No no, I'm shocked at how long you have been hiding from me?" "Umm, since 9th grade.." "Oh thank god, I liked you first." "WHAT" "Yeah, I had a crush on you since 8th grade." 

We both looked at each other before laughing. "It's funny how both of us liked each other but still remained as friends-" "ITS NOT FUNNY. JUST DATE ALREADY!" We heard a bunch of our old friends yell behind a bush. The two of us sat down on a bench looking at them bickering for some reason.

"So Malisa Choi, would you be the choco to my mint?" "Gladly." "Do you know what you and mint have in common?" "Hmm spicy-" "HELL NAH. I love you both. Mint and you." He winked but I just pushed him off the bench.
