Chapter 7

Scott's POV
As we were packing up I heard screaming coming from across the beach. As I glance toward Avi I see he is yelling for us with Breanna in his arms. Everyone dropped everything and ran over.

"We need to get her to the hospital now!" Avi exclaimed.

"No......I....I'll.....be fine" Breanna said right as she slipped out of consciousness.

Avi POV
Breanna's head rolled on to my shoulder as she slipped out of consciousness.

"Kevin go get the car, Kirstie where is the closest hospital?!?" I said my voice trembling.

"There is one a few miles away" Kirstie said as we ran to the car. We all shuffled into the car. I got in last and held Breanna tightly against my chest.

"How did this even happen?!" Scott said a few tears slipping down his face.

"I have no idea I walked around the corner and she was on the floor, covered with bruises and cuts." I explained what I saw to them and felt tears starting to form. Now I know what you are probably thinking you just met this girl why are you crying over her, well even though I just met her she was so sweet and kind and she definitely did not deserve this. We made it to the hospital and Breanna was rushed into a room. We waited for what felt like forever until the doctor said we could go into the room.

Breanna POV
I slowly opened my eyes and was greeted by a very bright light. I looked around, not knowing where I was and concluded that I was in the hospital. I sat up and was harshly reminded about what had happened less than 24 hours ago. The pain was brutal. I saw the whole band sitting next to my bed.

"People these days always on their phones" I said as Everyone looked up. They all rushed to me and crushed me in a group hug.

"Ow" I screeched, while laughing.

"Sorry" they all said as they let go.

"No it's fine. How long have you guys been here?"

"About 4 hours maybe" Scott said.

"What 4 hours?!? Why didn't you go home or go somewhere?!?" I asked in disbelief.

"We wanted to make sure you were okay" Mitch said shyly.

"Awe you guys" I said tears starting to form. "I can't believe you waited all that time for me, I mean I'm nothing special....I've never had someone do anything so nice for me before" I said.

"We will be here, always" Kevin said as they all nodded in agreement.

So we all talked for awhile until they went to go grab something to eat.

"Avi! Wait, can I talk to you for a second." I said right before he was about to leave. He told the rest of the band he would catch up with them and then shut the door. "Thank you for saving my life" I said looking into his eyes.

"Of course, but how did this even happen." Avi asked truly concerned.

"Maria....... She hasn't liked me since the beginning because she thinks I am trying to steal Scott away from her. I would never do that..... It's so rude. She acted nice to me around everyone else but once we were alone she just beat me up. I could have fought back but I didn't want Scott to hate me.....I didn't want any of you guys to hate me...... Avi it was the most terrifying experience." I said starting to cry.

"How could she?!?" Avi said angrily. "I have to tell Scott and the band" Avi said pulling out his phone.

"NO! You can't do that. You can't tell anyone!!" I exclaimed.

"Why not if I don't tell them they won't know what actually happened..... Scott will still be with her and you will still have to deal with her." Avi said confused.

"Yes but if you tell Scott then he will break up with Maria and she makes him so happy...... I don't want to see him sad. I want you guys to be the happiest you can be. If you tell him he will be so upset, and so will everyone else. Please promise me you won't tell them."

"Ok fine I promise, but I can't believe you are doing this. Honestly I think Scott is happier when he is around you."

"Thank you!! And please when ever Maria is around make sure there is someone else in the room, I do not feel like getting beaten up again honestly. Now come sit with me in this bed, let's talk about life and stuff" I said while giggling.

"How do you stay so positive?" Avi said while laying/sitting next to me.

"I don't know I guess it's just my personality"

Avi texted the rest of the band and told them he was going to hang out with me for a bit. We talked and laughed and just had a good time. I asked if he could teach me some bass notes which did not end up very well, we just ended up laughing until our sides hurt. I started to get tired and laid my head down on Avi's shoulder. "Thank you for always being there for me" I said as I drifted off to sleep.

Avi POV
I can't believe Maria would do something so horrible, but I'm glad that Breanna is okay. She is acting as if nothing ever happened. We talked, laughed and had an amazing time. Then she thanked me for everything and for always being there. I said you're welcome but soon realized she fell asleep on my shoulder. I didn't want to wake her up so I sat there just thinking until I fell asleep also.
