Chapter 8

Scott POV
I walked into Breanna's hospital room and saw Breanna asleep on Avi's chest and Avi scrolling through his phone.

"Hey" I whispered not wanting to wake Breanna.

"Hey do you think we could somehow switch places without waking Breanna? I have to be somewhere and I don't want to wake her up." Avi asked.

"We will find a way" I said. So as Avi slipped out of the bed I propped her up and slipped into the bed next to her. She adjusted a bit but did not wake up.

"Please make sure that she is not left alone and that she is safe." Avi said very concerned.

"I won't leave her side" I said truthfully, smiling at a sleeping Breanna. Avi left and Breanna snuggled into my shoulder as I wrapped my arm around her. It was so peaceful, the quiet breathing of Breanna and the steady beat of the heart monitor. I just stared at the ceiling, thinking. I thought about how maybe it was fate that I met Breanna, I mean it's not everyday that you spill your coffee on someone. Most people would never want to see the person that spilled coffee on them again but Breanna was different.....she was so sweet and kind.....she makes me laugh and smile and I'm so grateful that I have friends like her in my life. As I was thinking I was interrupted by the slamming of a door. Maria stormed through the door and started yelling at me.

"Why are you laying with Breanna? Maybe you should date her and not me." Etcetera etcetera, you get the point. I told her to calm down while trying to shush her and she kept yelling. She stormed out and I was stunned.

Breanna POV
I woke up to the slamming of a door. My eyes shot open and I heard screams. I looked toward the door and saw Maria yelling. I grabbed what I thought was Avi's arm and hid my face into the mans shoulder. There was another slam of the door and tears rolled down my face. I looked up and saw that Avi had gone and now I was laying next to Scott.

"Sorry" I said wiping away my tears.

"Don't apologize for her she is just jealous because she thinks that you are trying to steal me away. Obviously she doesn't know you that well." Scott said wiping away my tears.

"Thank you for staying with me, and for not freaking out when I hid my face in your shoulder..... I was afraid I was going to get hurt again......Scotty the experience was so scary" I said more tears streaming down my face. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I hid my face into his shoulder, wrapping my arms around his neck.

We sat there for a while, me crying into his shoulder and him just holding me. It was peaceful. After I let go he told me that he brought some stuff for me.

"I brought a whole bunch of stuff to do because it is probably hella boring in here."

"You don't even know" I said, laughing.

I looked through the bag and saw sharpies.

"Score! Sharpies can make anything less boring" I said. Scott laughed and I just started drawing on my legs. Scott started playing some music and we just drew. We colored in coloring books, joked around and I finished my design on my legs. I wrote inspiring words and designs all over my thighs. After that I turned towards Scott and I grabbed his hand. I drew little designs all over his hand and arm.

"Now we match!" I said smiling. Scott and I hung out for the rest of the day just laughing, talking, and listening to music. My favorite part is when we just laid next to each other and listened to the music. My head was on his chest and I was playing with his hands, the only sound being the music playing softly in the background. Scott went home around 11 at night. The week was full of the band just coming over to hang out. On Tuesday Kevin came to visit me. He taught me how to play the piano because I told him that I have always wanted to play the piano and the guitar. I picked it up pretty easily and we just played songs. Jokes were told and we had a blast. On Wednesday Kirstie came over and we just had girl time. We talked and painted our nails. She told me about Jeremy and how they met. It was a really cute story. We just talked until she had to go. On Thursday Avi came back to visit me and we hung out. I asked him if he could bring his guitar and teach me, so he tried to teach me how to play. This week is just full of music. I learned to play queen of hearts by we the kings on the guitar and was impressed with myself. We talked and laughed until he had to go. Then on Friday Mitch came to visit me. I told him how I haven't seen him in forever. We hung out and decided to watch Disney movies because those are the best movies. We agreed on big hero 6 since we both haven't seen it yet. We watched the movie on Mitch's laptop and were laughing. Then at the end we were both bawling our eyes out. We watched more Disney movies, less sad ones and then he had to leave. On Saturday they all came over to tell me they had rehearsal for their new tour coming up. So the next week went by pretty slowly, but I got let out on Friday.

The whole band came to pick me up and we went over to Scott and Mitch's house. Scott and Mitch and I all sat on the couch, Avi sat on the chair, and Kevin and Kirstie sat on the other, smaller couch. We all were talking and then the doorbell rang. Kevin went to go get it and Maria was behind him. She walked in and Avi glanced over at me. Everyone welcomed Maria and she was looking around for a place to sit.

"Here you can have my seat next to Scott, I'll go sit on the floor." I said with a fake but convincing smile.

"Here you can sit with me Breanna" Avi said. I told him thank you and made my way over to the chair. As I was about to sit down my phone started to ring.

"I'll be right back" I said to the group.

I answered my phone and it was my landlord.....more bad news
