They were at the old witches' house, Malik laid on one of the coffins reading while Bonnie tried to open the one she was dreaming about. She was casting all the spells she could think of but even after all of that when she tried to open it, it remained locked.

"Why won't you open?!" yelled Bonnie and suddenly the coffins disappeared. Malik fell off after the sudden change and slowly getting up rubbed his bottom, but looking at Bonnie they both knew what it meant. Someone has entered the building unannounced.

"Hello? Someone there?" Bonnie called out and both of them began to look around but saw no one.

They exchanged a look and walking closer to the exit suddenly Damon appeared but before they could have said anything he placed his finger on his lips to keep them quiet before he went up again.

Malik shook his head and soon enough the coffins reappeared again. Bonnie raised an eyebrow waiting for explanation but the warlock just shrugged and they collected their stuff to go back to school. With hybrids around they couldn't risk trying more spells otherwise they would realise what was happening there.

Arriving to the school the rushed to Caroline's locker to help Elena decorate it. By the time they got there Elena already had majority done

"Hey, sorry we're late, we... we got held up."

"It's okay. Can you pass me the balloons?" asked Elena and Malik quickly handed her the balloons. "Thanks. What got you running late?"

"We were... working on some new spells. You?" asked Malik trying to change the subject as smoothly as he could.

"Working out with Alaric. Listen... I have something I need to tell you, and you're not gonna like it."

"What happened?" asked Bonnie worried, the Bennett twins were in constant alarm mode with the feud between Stefan and Klaus.

"Jeremy is gonna be leaving town for a while. He'll be staying with some old family friends in Denver, until this whole Klaus thing blows over."

The twins exchanged a confused look but as they turned back to Elena Malik was speechless, he couldn't believe what he just heard, luckily for him Bonnie took the lead and voiced their confusion.

"Jeremy wouldn't just leave you to deal with Klaus on your own."

"I know. Which is why I asked Damon to compel him."

"You did what?" chorused the two.

"I know guys. But it's not safe for him here anymore. Leaving will give him a better life. The only reason I'm telling you is because I know that you two haven't really worked out your stuff. And you've been friends since forever... I thought that maybe you'd wanna say goodbye."

Both Bonnie and Malik turned to look at Jeremy who was currently talking to someone else. Observing his behaviour the twins could tell that he seemed happy and content, however they did not approve in the slightest.
