"So you can use this room, it was a guest room before so there isn't much to it but if you want you can decorate it. Food wise it might be best if you sort out a schedule for yourself seeing that my mum finishes in weird hours and I'm... well you know. As for all the other things..."
"Calm down Caroline" Malik calmed Caroline gently while he smiled at the vampire. "I'm grateful for letting me stay here until my sister sorts herself out."
After losing himself in the cave his memory was blank until he woke up a bit later. He was caught up about all the drama that happened, Bonnie's weird behaviour, Jeremy dying, Elena turning off her emotions and burning down their house... It all seemed a lot to take in all at once yet Malik felt like he knew it all, felt it all. Must have been why he accepted all of it without flipping out.
According to Caroline Bonnie asked her if Malik could stay with her, saying she needed time to work on her magic alone and focus on herself.
"I'm sure Bonnie will be fine... but how is it she needs help with magic while you don't... isn't it the same?"
"Only fundamentally" explained Malik while the two of them walked into the living room and sitting down got comfortable. "If you recall I've had problems with my magic before I learnt to reel it all in and have constant control over it. Learning to control Expression was a lot easier after I found myself again."
"Bonnie never had to learn that" concluded Caroline.
"And she only had Shane, who unfortunately only taught her control through him, not herself."
"Poor Bonnie... but I'm sure she will get through it!"
Malik smiled looking at the blonde, her cheerfulness was contagious and that's exactly what Malik needed. After Bonnie asked for some time for herself, even though Malik himself had troubles seeing he was in a magical coma for a while put a damper on his mood.
Caroline however knew exactly what she was doing.
"Okay, will you be alright by yourself for a bit? You can always join me for the game and be around other people..."
"I think it's best if I focus on recovery" admitted Malik. "You go and have fun, Caroline. I'll be fine. Perhaps I can use this time to catch up on my studies, seeing how everything has been going on."
"Okay" nodded Caroline with a smile. "I'll see you after. We can watch a movie later?"
"Sounds good" smiled the warlock and watched the girl leave.
Once he was all by himself, he looked around and taking his bags up to his room began to take everything out. At last, he pulled out his grimoire and stared at it gently, slowly running his fingers on it opened it and moving from page to page nostalgia surrounded him.
He paused every now and then until he got to his last spells, right before he lost his connection to the spirits. None of his expression spells were recorded in his grimoire, but he secretly wrote them down in a separate one. Looking at that one he let out a sigh and putting both of them away got up to study.
