Of all the things that could have gone wrong, he was the last thing Marcel Gerard thought would be his problem. With Klaus and Elijah being in town he was hoping he could get things under control. His vampires were anxious and unhappy with the Originals in town, knowing full well the power they possessed. And after Elijah was taken out of the picture it seemed his crew was settling down a bit.

But that was until word came that there was an unknown witch roaming the city and using magic left and right, sending his crew packing easily, leaving desiccated vampires all over the town.

And to top it all Davina could not sense them coming. No matter how hard she tried. Only in the moments they used their powers but then it all disappeared just as quickly, and the magical signature was very different each time, making it very hard for her to track it.

He was in his compound awaiting word from his day walkers to try and find this new problem, considering that his night walkers had no luck at all. He was hoping that perhaps during the day among so many innocents the newcomer wouldn't be so reckless and they could tag this person to make it easier.

That was until suddenly the doors burst open, alerting all vampires in the compound, and getting up prepared themselves to attack the intruder.

Until he began walking in.

"Good day ladies and gentlemen!" echoed the cheerful voice of Malik who walked in casually. "A little birdie told me you were looking for me!"

Vampires jumped at him but the first one who did suddenly got pushed into the wall and began to desiccate which shocked everyone and made the vampires back away slightly. Seeing this display the ruler of the city had to make a quick decision. Suddenly appeared near the warlock and using his diplomatic voice began to ease the situation.

"Guys, guys... let's all calm down, there is no need for bloodshed" walking closer to Malik he offered his hand and spoke with a smile. "I'm sorry about this. I'm Marcel, I run this city."

"Malik Bennett" responded the boy and shook hands with the vampire.

"A Bennett witch? I haven't seen anyone from your bloodline for a long time. What brings you to New Orleans?"

"I'm hunting a werewolf."

Hearing that the vampires began whispering among themselves even Marcel looked surprised but a smile appeared on his face and gesturing towards another room addressed him again.

"Come, let's talk in private."

The warlock nodded and following Marcel went towards the other room but before he entered, he turned back to the vampires and pointed at the desiccated one.

"Just get him some blood, he'll be good as new."

Once the door closed Marcel offered Malik a seat and sitting opposite him Marcel waited for a moment and leaning closer addressed the warlock.
