It felt weird.
He was in Abby's house with Bonnie, Jamie and Caroline as well. All 5 of them stayed there but it seemed Abby was happy because of it. Even if Jamie was staying out in the back mostly, she was happy that Malik came around.
In reality, the warlock was scared.
His grudge against his mother wasn't worth it having unspoken things in case he lost her. And he almost did.
While staying in the house Caroline helped Abby a lot, Bonnie and Malik made her a daylight ring to allow her to be out on the sun. But Abby felt weird and they could all tell that.
Walking out of the house Caroline approached them with an ice chest.
"Hey"
"Hey" chorused the twins but returned their gaze to Abby.
"I totally lucked out. The hospital just had a blood drive, so I got some O negatives, some A's, and my personal favourite" she pulled out a blood bag and showed it tot he twins with a big smile. "B positive."
They siblings smiled but then returned their attention back to their mother once again. They watched Abby who was in her garden standing next to an empty bird bath.
"We made her a daylight ring. She's been standing out there all morning. I don't think she's taking this very well" commented Bonnie.
"Well, it's only been a few days since she turned. Your mom is still adjusting" offered Caroline, trying to lighten their spirit and they all walked closer to Abby. "Ms. Wilson, why don't you come inside? Have something to drink?"
"I can't feel it anymore. My garden, it's gone. I can't feel anything" was the only thing she said and walked back to the house.
"I don't understand."
"Witches have a connection to the Earth. We can literally feel nature. Life" Malik explained gently and cupped his hands on both sides of a dead plant.
He closed his eyes and recited a spell and suddenly the plant started to bloom into a beautiful flower.
"When Abby became a vampire, she lost it. We don't know how to help her" said Bonnie looking at the blonde and Caroline began thinking.
She had an idea. Perhaps about the connection to nature wasn't something she could do but perhaps there were other things she could fix. That's why she walked to the back of the house to see Jamie.
"Haven't seen you up at the house. Abby's been asking for you."
"I've been pretty busy" popped the boy an excuse quickly, which made Caroline smile but regardless she bent down to pick up some of the wood.
That startled Jamie and lifting up the axe he shouted.
"Hey, hey!" that managed to startle Caroline as well making her stand up. "Stay away from me!"
