"I hit kind of a snag."
"Let's clarify something sister dear. A snag is a bad yearbook picture. What's the hold up?" interrupted Malik, speaking into the phone while Caroline stood next to him. The duo was in the school handing out pamphlets and instructions to seniors.
"I'm trying to fix it, but I ran into some trouble. I need to wait until the full moon tonight to have enough power to put the veil back up."
"Are you telling me that we might graduate right in the middle of a ghost-filled Expression Triangle?" questioned Caroline pulling the phone closer to herself.
"Maybe we should just cancel."
"No, we are not going to cancel Bonnie, I will make sure that the veil is up tonight. The two of us can do it once the full moon is up. Okay?"
"Not to mention the big obvious we are forgetting about" interrupted Caroline but this time taking the phone. "Graduation is the most important event of our lives, the last ceremony of our youth. Just promise me that today is a friend day."
"Okay, I promise. I love you."
"I love you, too" chorused Caroline and Malik and they hung up the phone.
"Do you think she is alright?" asked Caroline worried while they continued with the preparations.
"Not sure" admitted Malik. "I felt something odd last night after I got back but it was only for a moment. I can't put my finger on it, but it wasn't good."
"Could it be Silas?"
"No, he was petrified. If he was around he would make sure to get to Bonnie again before she puts the veil back up. Hopefully it's nothing."
Once the preparations where done Malik went back to the Forbes residence and began to get ready for the graduation. For once he thought about going traditional, he put on a white shirt and a tie before putting on his graduation get up.
Looking in the mirror he smiled, seeing himself looking like a normal high school student made him feel relaxed. As he stood there, he received a text message from Bonnie, asking if they could meet in the school before joining up with everyone.
Walking out of the house Bonnie stood there in her get up, seeing her brother a wide smile appeared on her face and the to rushed to each other, embracing the other stood there for a bit.
Once they let go of each other, Bonnie had a tear appear in her eye and spoke quietly while holding into his hands.
"I'm so proud of you, Mal."
"I am proud of you too" responded the boy gently.
"Have you sent your applications to the big leagues?"
