Stitched heart (Stein x reader)

New Partner

Ever since you became a Death Scythe things for you have been different. You were walking towards the Death Room to get your new partner assigned to you, since your boyfriend or old miester got injured you have been a single weapon. Stein walked into the Death Room and you waved at him. He smiled and said

"(Y/N)! It's been too long!" You nodded and said

"That it has." Lord Death appeared on the mirror and said

"Hiya! (Y/N) it's been too long! Stein it's good to see you again! So, I have great news for the both of you!"  You and Stein looked at each other then back at Lord Death. You smiled gently and said

"Go on, Sir." Lord Death tilted his head to the side and said

"You two will be partners and (Y/N) you will be working with Stein as a teacher-helper." You and Stein looked at each other. You looked back at Lord Death and said

"I'm okay with that." Stein nodded and you smiled at him. Lord Death clapped his hands, slightly, and said

"Fantastic! (Y/N) you can go get settled and tell your boyfriend I said hello." Your eyes widened when he mentioned Troy. You looked at him and said

"I will." He nodded and you turned and left the room. You saw Stein in the hall, smoking. You sighed and said

"You haven't changed a bit, Stein." He looked at you and said

"Hello, (L/N). It's been-"

"Too long. So, you've said." You said interrupting him. He smiled and then frowned, saying

"How's Troy?" You laughed and said

"He's good. I can tell by your tone of voice you miss him as much as he does you." He scowled at you and you laughed, saying

"Play nice Stein." He frowned and said

"I have never liked Troy. Tell him I said that. How are things between you and him?" You smiled and said

"We're good. We've been together for eight years now." Stein rolled his eyes and said

"I'm happy for you two." You frowned and said

"No you're not......I'm going get settled into my apartment with Troy. I'll see you at work tomorrow." Stein nodded and as you went to leave he said

"I'm glad that you are my new partner." You looked at him and smiled gently, saying

"Me too." You walked out of the building and saw Troy waiting in his car. You smiled and ran towards the car saying

"Hey, baby! I didn't know you were coming pick me up." Troy smiled at you and pecked your lips saying

"I was trying to surprise you. So, surprise." You hugged him and he said

"Four eyes is staring at us." You knew he was talking about Stein and you said

"Be nice he's my new partner." Troy looked at you wide eyed and said

"He's what?" You put your hands up and said

"Lord Death's orders. Oh he said Hello by the way. Lord Death I mean. Stein said he has never liked you and still doesn't." Troy rolled his eyes and said

"One I don't care about four eyes.  Two,  Lord Death needs to find you a new partner. Becasue eventually you and Stein will have to move in together, to have a stronger wavelength while resonating." You sighed and said

"Even if I do that it wouldn't matter. You'd still be with me." Troy smiled and nodded, saying

"Let's go home." You nodded and got in the car, buckling in. You looked out the car window and saw Stein looking at the ground looking frustrated. You sighed and looked back at Troy. He glanced at you, smiled, and held one of your hands, intertwining your fingers together.
