Meeting up with his manager to talk about Producer's Corner so soon was never the plan or even a thought. But the guys were very persistent about meeting the producer behind such a successful YouTube channel.

--

Sighing for what felt like the thousandth time, Chan finally folds. "I'll talk to the manager about the NDAs. To see if you're allowed to even meet them. Like I said at dinner a week ago," he says, emphasizing his last sentence.

After that statement, he thought they would finally drop the topic. He was very wrong. The following days, every single member brought it up. Always asking if he had set a time to meet with the manager. He quickly got tired of it.

--

Walking into the dance room, once again late, Chan gazes around the room. Eyes falling on the maknae line. They were bunched up together watching Felix's phone.

Raising an eyebrow, he sets down his bag and makes his way to them. "What on Earth is so interesting?"

He amusingly watches as all of them startle.

"Ya! You scared us!" Han shouts.

I.N. sheepishly looked up at Chan and said, "We were watching Producer's Corner's new song with Kard."

"Speaking of Producer's Corner, have you set up a meeting with the manager?" Hyunjin asks, walking up to the small group.

Throwing his head back in slight irritation, Chan sets a stern look on his face. "Gather up. All of you."

Grimacing at the sight of the serious face, everyone wordlessly gathered in the middle of the room.

He puts his hands on his hips (like the stern dad he is). "Guys, I know you appreciate Producer's Corner and the music they make. And is really excited at the possible chance to meet them, but I really need you to tone it down. Asking me every conversation isn't going to make it happen any sooner. I, we, and our manager are busy with the new album. No offense, but Producer's Corner isn't our main focus right now."

He was tired. Tired of the mention of Producer's Corner every five minutes. Tired because this new album needs to be perfect. Tired because he also has to worry about this collaboration. Tired because he has enjoyed Kiki's presence so far and wants to see her work. Tired because he wants his group to meet her as well.

All of the members noticed his tired state. The slight annoyance in his posture. They all felt bad.

A chorus of mixed agreements and apologies were thrown around. The maknae line with their heads down, feeling bad that they didn't consider how busy any of them were. The hyung line feeling bad because they were just as persistent.

Noticing how down they were getting, Chan tries his best to bring the mood back up. "I do have a meeting with the manager tomorrow."

Smiling at the sight of the maknae line's heads shooting up. They actually start dance practice.

He walks into the small meeting room and spots his manager sitting at the table going through some papers.

Taking a seat across from the manager (I don't remember if I gave the manager a gender or not, so the manager will go by they/them), Chan knocks slightly on the table to gain their attention.

Looking up from their papers, they smile. "This hasn't happened in a while. I hope nothing bad has happened." It's been awhile since Chan was the one to set a meeting.

Rubbing the back of his neck in slight embarrassment, Chan starts to explain why he was there. "In the NDA for Producer's Corner, does it state anything about group members meeting them?"

Quirking an eyebrow, they start questioning. "Did the rest of straykids finally want to meet her?"

Eyes widening in response, Chan hurries to ask, "Yes, they have, but have you met her before?"

Chuckling, they simply state, "Of course I've met Kiki already. I was part of the small group of staff who had to meet her. She's really shy."

Weirdly enough, he was surprised.

It makes sense. They were the one who said I had to meet with JYP in the first place.

"Okay, enough about me meeting Kiki. Your original NDA says only you can meet her, but in all honesty, all you have to do is ask her. It is her NDA, and it's not the first time she ended up meeting whole groups."

Sagging in relief and slight annoyance at how simple it was to figure out, he sighs.

"Well, I didn't think it would be that easy. What was the point of saying that in the NDA if all I had to do was ask?"

Shrugging their shoulders, they easily respond. "I guess because most idols would ask in the first place. And if something bad were to happen, more damage would be done to the idol than Kiki."

Nodding in understanding, they both sit there in silence.

"Why don't you give her a call now? Make it easy and get it over with. Knowing the guys, they've been constant."

Smiling at the statement, Chan pulls out his phone.

K: Hello?

C: Hello, I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

K: No, not at all. Did you call to schedule another meeting?

C: Not...quite. I called to ask a question.

K: Oh, okay. What's the question?

C: Would it be possible for you to meet the rest of my group? They're big fans and have been bothering me all week about it.

Laughing at the thought of his group persistently asking about her, Kiki easily agrees.

K: Of course, I would love to meet them. Just text me the time and date.

Sighing in relief at how easy and accepting she was, they say their goodbyes.

The manager sat there with a small smirk, finding it amusing to see Chan being so awkward while talking to Kiki.

"I'm assuming she agreed?"

Half-heartedly scowling at them, he nods in response. "Thank you for the help. I appreciate it, even if it was simple."

"Of course."

And with that, Chan sets off to go tell the boys the good news. Although he was definitely coming up with a plan to make them wait as long as possible before meeting Kiki.

--

Sitting down in his spot at the dinner table. Chan waits to see if someone else will bring up his meeting with their manager.

...
It's been ten minutes. He's either worried or getting impatient.

Did they forget?

Or are they pranking me?

Or are they trying to be nice and wait until after dinner?

Flip it; I'm getting impatient. Although I am impressed with how long they're going without bringing it up.

"Good news, you guys!" He starts to mention.

At his short statement, multiple heads shot up. Most of them with excitement and curiosity.

Smiling at their reactions, Chan decides to mess with them for a moment. "So. I had the meeting. It was good. It turned out our manager knows Producer's Corner as well. It was pretty cool. They even told me more about PC."

Slightly slamming his utensils down, Minho dramatically states, "I love you, but for goodness sake, hurry up. And stop beating around the bush!" Even more yelling out was heard.

"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry. The good news is that you guys can meet PC. They were even happy to know that you guys wanted to meet."

"OMG! We get to meet PC!"

"They're happy to meet us! Meet me!"

"I can't wait to meet them!"

"I'm going to get their autograph!"

Watching the chaos unfold, Chan happily smiles. "For your guy's information, we haven't set a meeting up. For all that you know, you could meet them in months."

At this, everyone collectively groans.

"You're not going to make us actually wait a month, right?" Changbin asks, slightly defeated at the thought.

Simply shrugging, he says, "I don't know; for all we know, we could be busy with promotions and the new album."

Another round of irritation was expressed.

Thank you for reading this chapter! I hope you have a great morning, day, or night! I was supposed to get this done by Wednesday, oops. I didn't realize how hard it is to make sure all eight members get mentioned otherwise I would feel bad. I don't know if you could tell, but I got tired of typing out Producer's Corner lol.
