Bang Chan x OC
Becoming a popular producer no one knew about, was certainly not the plan. Jeung Ki was just trying to find a hobby that she would enjoy, and after finding out she wasn't that bad, wanted to share with whoever was going to listen.
Get...
Sitting on her bed, face buried in a new book, and listening to her friends argue for the hundredth time today was a common situation for the three friends.
Not actually reading her book or paying attention to her friends, Kiki sits there staring off into space. Thinking about how she was going to bring up the idea of moving out and moving in with her two friends. Her mom has already brought up the idea and has been egging her on to move out. Always brought up her older brother and how she wasn't afraid to "kick her out."
Startling her out of her thoughts, her mom opens the door to her bedroom.
Speak of the devil, and she shall appear.
"Oh, good, your friends are here too. Maybe you can finally convince them to buy a new apartment together, and you can finally move out." She says, leaning against the door frame.
Both Megan's and Lucas' heads shot up at the mention of moving. Megan's head then swivels to face Kiki, confusion slowly becoming prominent on her face.
"You want to move in with us?" Lucas just sits there, looking back and forth between everyone.
Kiki slowly sighs, finally placing her book down, and fixes her mother with an annoyed side-eye. "That was the plan; I was trying to figure out how to bring it up."
"Well then, you're welcome for bringing it up. Either way, you need to find something to do and earn money. I made your brother move out; see how happy he is now." She huffs out a half-hearted chuckle.
Well, of course, you made him move out; he has a girlfriend and a daughter. She's lucky I have two friends in the first place.
"I'm glad to see that your friendship is still going strong; it just needs to keep going strong in a different place with different experiences. Plus, your room would make a good-sized office." Standing up decisively from her position, she closes the door and leaves the three friends alone.
"So. I heard you wanted to move out." Lucas asks, dragging the o.
"To be honest, I'm surprised my mom held out that long. I thought she was going to complain a lot sooner." Kiki states, leaning against the headboard.
Sending a half-hearted glare toward the door, Lucas asks, "Why would she complain about her practically adopted kids?"
Rolling her eyes, Meg easily replies, "Besides the fact we're always a hand full, I would also get tired of hearing gossip basically 24/7."
"But you're the one that always brings up gossip, you're literally the only one who willingly goes out and parties." Lucas easily points all the blame at Megan.
Megan sits there, giving Lucas her ugliest scowl and glare.
"That's beside the point. Since my mom has already brought it up. Would you guys like to move in together?"
Dropping her scowl, Meg looks at Kiki: "Of course we would move in together, but where are we going to move in together? Lucas' and my apartment is too small to house all three of us."
"Yeah, only because someone likes to hoard things. If you got rid of half the stuff you hav-"
Getting hit in the face with a pillow, efficiently cutting off his sentence, Lucas scowls.
"You bit-"
"I'm aware that your apartment is too small; it's one of the reasons why I already started looking for new apartments. We are going to have to split the loan and rent," Kiki states, getting up from her bed.
"How long have you been looking for apartments? I mean, I don't mind splitting rent and stuff, but why didn't you bring this up sooner?" Meg questions, standing up from the floor.
Shuffling nervously, she thinks up a proper response, "I've been thinking about moving for a little over six months. I don't know why I've put it off for so long. I think I might have gotten really anxious about the idea of moving."
"We aren't mad about it; it's just something we never thought about. I mean, yeah, we've thought about living together, but we never thought it was going to happen so soon." Lucas says, hoping to calm Kiki down.
"Well, if you guys are so sure about it, we can go looking for apartments tomorrow. I'll call a listing agent and have them help us out." Kiki decides, feeling the weight of the subject finally lift off her shoulders.
Mom will finally drop the subject. Hopefully.
"Wow. This is all happening so fast. I'm so excited! Do you think there will be good shops and restaurants in the area? That has to be a mus-"
"You and your goddamn food!"
"Stop throwing pillows at me!"
Smiling with amusement and fondness, Kiki sits back down on her bed to contact a listing agent. Lucas and Megan's bantering a constant noise in the background.

"How many more apartments do we have to look through today? I feel like we've been through five different ones already!" Leaning against Kiki with most of his weight, Lucas complains.
Pushing Lucas off of herself, she easily ignores him. Continuing the previous conversation "I can feel it; this next apartment is the one. I have faith that this next community will be safe."
Pouting, he asks, "Does your faith happen to know if this next community has good food? Because I'm starving." leaning into Meg this time.
"Get off of me, you brat! We can get food after the apartment tour. That's fine, right?" Meg spoke up, pushing Lucas away from them.
"Yeah, that's fine. Oh, look, there's the apartment building. This section of buildings is owned by the same person." Kiki points out, looking around the area.
It was a four-way street; to their left were the first and second apartment buildings. With a convenience store in between the two buildings.
"Those are the first and second apartment buildings; they have a shared courtyard." Kiki points to the two buildings.
To their right were the sixth and fifth apartment buildings, their building entrances facing each other. (so it's sort of like an alleyway)
"This is the building we're going to be touring." She points at the fifth building.
Across the street from the first and second buildings is the third apartment building and a small restaurant, with an alleyway between them.
"I heard that restaurant is family-owned; I hope their food is really good."
"Don't bring up food yet! You're going to make me more hungry!" Lucas shouts.
Rolling her eyes, Meg states, "It's not that serious."
Across the street from the fifth and sixth buildings is the fourth apartment building. Next to it are a café and a small clothing store.
"Come on, let's go look at the apartment," Kiki states, dragging Lucas behind her. ________________________________________________
Sitting on the floor of the apartment, looking out of the windows, Kiki sits there, happy with this new achievement. They were currently waiting for the listing agent to get the papers they needed to sign.
"What's got you so happy?" Lucas asks, sitting to her left.
"Why are you questioning her happiness?" Meg counters, sitting to her right.
"Oh stop it. I'm happy because this feels like such an achievement. I'm happy we finally moved in together. I'm just happy to be where I'm at right now...well, besides the fact I need to find a job."
Smiling fondly, Megan leans into her. "I'm happy too."
Rolling his eyes, Lucas leans into her as well, saying, "Enough of this sappy shit. I'm sure you'll find a job."
Laughing softly, Kiki flicks Lucas on the forehead and says, "You're the one who brought it up. But thanks." ________________________________________________
