Motioning to Chan for the blanket, Kiki begins to talk. "So that's exactly what we're going to do."

Watching her lay the blanket on the grass, he takes the bags from her. "We're going to watch the sunset? As lovely as that sounds, I thought we were actually going to start working on songs."

Chuckling softly, she sits down on the blanket, grabbing back her own bag. "Yes, we are going to watch the sunset. But we are also going to work. Sometimes being outside helps. Maybe we'll even get inspiration."

He continues to watch her; he stands there for a moment. As weird as it sounds, he's never actually worked outside. Of course he's worked out in about, but never specifically outside.

He finally sits down on the blanket next to Kiki, but far enough away to still have space to work. He starts to set up a mini producing area. They were both quiet during the process, focused on how they wanted things to be set up. So it was expected when Chan was startled.

"I don't know how you usually start a song process, but don't be afraid to tell me things. Like if you don't like something or to suggest something. I'm open to anything, and I won't be afraid to tell you either." Kiki states, looking at Chan.

"That's perfectly fine; I'd prefer if you told me if you didn't like something. Let's start?" Chan easily agrees, opening his laptop.

Smiling at his ease, Kiki opens her own laptop. They finally start the long process of producing.

Sitting up straight, Kiki pushes back into a stretch and lets out a small yawn. She looks over to Chan, who is still focused on his laptop.

They had laid the foundation down. They were actually working faster than she had originally thought. She was kind of hoping this would drag on for a little bit. But she knew it was irrational, and she shouldn't keep Chan from his other work.

Feeling the gaze, he looks up at her. Mildly surprised she didn't look away. Raising an eyebrow, Chan asks, "What? Do I have something on my face?"

"No, just thinking." She says, a small smile adorning her face.

Fully pulling away from his laptop, he focuses on Kiki. "About what? Obviously, something about me." He playfully teases.

Huffing out a small laugh, Kiki leans back on her hands. Her gaze turned towards the soon-to-set sun. "I'm a little sad at how fast we're producing this song."

She knew she was beating around the bush, but she wasn't sure how to make or keep friends.

He, on the other hand, was confused. Wasn't it a good thing they were able to work so well together? That it wasn't hard to find topics to write about or things to agree on.

"Why?"

Looking back at Chan, her smile falls just a bit. "I'm afraid." She wasn't willing to go farther than that. She had only met him once and talked to him a couple of other times. She didn't want to be so vulnerable around him yet. She wasn't one hundred percent sure if she wanted to keep in contact afterwards, and she wasn't sure if he had a chance to hurt her.

Of course, that last part was a bit illogical and rude to Chan, but she couldn't help but be anxious about a new friend. One she wanted to last a long time.

Sensing she wasn't going to further explain, Chan looked at the sun. It was finally setting. His eyes look over the skyline. It was starting to turn pretty shades of pink and orange. Clouds becoming sparse. It was really pretty to see, especially from their vantage point.

"You were right. It is really beautiful at sunset."

Her smile grows bigger again. She changes her focus to the sky as well. She loved this spot. She felt relaxed; it felt great to be away from the city for a couple of hours. Just listening to the tree leaves rustling and any birds. It wasn't overwhelmingly hot, and the small breeze felt great.
