But at the sudden noise of an opening door, their heads snap towards the hallway.
___________
They all sit there, watching a random girl walk down their dorm hallway. Chan was a bunch of nerves; he wanted them to become friends with each other. He greatly enjoyed time with Kiki and thinks his little family would become great friends with her. He just hoped they wouldn't react poorly to her. He doubts it, but you never know.
Kiki stops to stand next to Chan, facing the rest of Stray Kids. She carefully tries her best not to freak out. Kiki was also a big ball of nerves; she wanted to make a good first impression. From the stories Chan had shared, they seemed like a lot of fun, and they really cared for each other.
Awkward silence held for a while. Each member is confused and dying to ask questions. But none of them knew what to ask first or what to do. Chan was the first one to say something, the silence finally bothering him.
Slightly gesturing to Kiki, he starts, "This is a friend of mine. I met her through...music." Okay, yeah, he kind of butchered the last part, but he didn't think that far. Plus, he wasn't technically lying.
Taking that as her cue, she introduces herself. "Hi, my name is Jeung Ki, but you can call me Kiki. It's nice to meet you all." She ends with a small smile and bow.
That was one of my most awkward interactions in a while. I hope it wasn't too bad.
The guys were still just as confused as before. Chan has never really brought someone over before. And if he did, they would know who and when. They were very thrown off by this sudden new presence. Especially since Chan has never mentioned her before.
Jisung was the first to say what was on his mind. "Are you the girl who was in Chan's studio the other week?" That may have been too blunt.
Kiki stiffens a little bit at that. "Uh. Yeah. I am." She had no idea how to respond to that. That night was such an emotional roller-coaster.
The rest of the guys were now at least ten times more confused. Jisung has met this person before?
"Are you doing okay? I hope the water helped." Jisung asks, not realizing how he was leaving the other members.
"Oh, you were the one who gave Chan the water? Thank you for that; it did help. And yes, I'm doing better now; that night was a little exhausting." She replies in kind.
Having had enough of sitting in the dark, Seungmin speaks up. "OK, hold on a second. We can't just blow over the fact that a complete, well to most of us anyways, stranger is in our living room."
Chan rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "Sorry about that. We can make dinner and talk more about what's going on. Give everyone a minute to gather themselves."
____
Kiki wasn't expecting to be cooking for the rest of the members, but she doesn't really mind. If anything, just thrown off. She wants to make a good first impression, after all.
Currently, she was prepping all the vegetables and meat for Chan to start cooking. They were sitting in a comfortable silence. Jisung walks into the kitchen and leans against the counter next to Chan.
"Can- am I allowed to ask anything about what happened?" He hesitantly asks.
Ah, of course he would wonder what happened.
Chan watches Kiki for any signs of discomfort before turning to Jisung. "It's up to her, but either way, don't tell anyone."
He easily nods his head in agreement before turning his attention to Kiki. Who still hasn't said anything.
