Thank you so much for 11k reads!!! I had just hit 8.5k so I was really surprised with how fast it hit 11k. Again thank you for reading and voting on my story! I don't know if I mentioned this before, but this story is a slow burn.

It had been what felt like forever since Kiki and Chan had their first real production session. In reality, it had only been two weeks. Chan had been busy with the new release of Stray Kid's album, meaning there was a lot of promotion. And Kiki enjoyed everything that came from them. She's excited to meet the other members. To see their personalities in person.

She was stuck, though. She felt like she needed to pump out more things. It being new music or remixes. She feels like she's slowing down, and she doesn't want that. But at the same time, she didn't want to burn herself out and lose the passion she has for music.

This led to her shutting herself in her room. She sat at her desk for hours on end, trying to find a rhythm. But no matter how many songs she tried to start, no matter how much she researched for inspiration, she couldn't find her groove. And it was starting to worry her.

Slowly opening her bedroom door, Kiki gazes at the empty apartment. Figuring out that both Lucas and Megan were at school, she leans against the wall in between the bedrooms, staring off into space. She wasn't sure how she felt at the moment. If it was a negative feeling or if she was just tired.

She steadily slides to the floor, burying her face into her knees, and just thinks.

I'm not being extra, right? I'm not doing this for attention? I truly do feel...worn? Burnt out? I don't know. I was just working with Chan. How could I feel this tired all of a sudden? This is so frustrating. I just want to produce. Make music for people. But right now, it just feels like a chore. Is it my fault?

Kiki sits there for what feels like seconds, but she startles when she hears the apartment door locks turn. Her eyes focus again, and she lifts her head towards the door. She watches as Lucas and Meg enter the apartment, once again bickering.

Turning her head towards the window in the living room, her eyes widen at the setting sun.

"Why are you sitting on the floor?" Meg asks, joining in on the floor anyway. Not a second later, Lucas joins them.

She knew that they knew that she wasn't okay, but she didn't want to bring it up yet. Didn't want to ask for help just yet.

"I didn't even notice. I guess I was stuck in my head for a little bit." Is how she responds. Vague, but enough to answer the question. Although she knows what the next question is going to be.

"Whatcha thinkin' about?" Lucas asks this time.

She took a moment to gather her thoughts and see what she wanted to share. "Producing, mostly. Thinking about what I want to do next. I also have to work on the collaboration with Chan."

"Anything we can help with?" Meg questions. Meg themself knew for a fact that Kiki wasn't going to answer them. But maybe the fact that they asked and put the offer out there would help.

Kiki then starts to stand, with the other two following. "Not right now. I'll get your opinions later."

Lucas easily states for the both of them, "That's alright. You know we'll be there for you!" Meg nods along.

All she does is smile and thank them for the support before she goes back to her room to sit at her desk for another few hours.
