Later in the day

"Dinners done!" Lucas partially yells, setting the bowls of ramen down.

All three friends sit at their small table. The only sounds were the clatter of chopsticks and the slurping of noodles.

Looking up from their bowl, Megan sets down her chopsticks. Deciding it was time to bring up a certain topic.

"So. A little birdy told me that you not only pulled another all-nighter but also decided you would make music."

Kiki begins coughing as a result of being caught off guard. She takes a deep breath and turns her gaze toward Lucas. Only annoyance can be seen on her face.

"Really? You mentioned the all-nighter. What was the point?"

Pointedly avoiding her stare, he turns his own gaze to Meg. "That wasn't the point of me telling you about anything from this morning. The whole point was to talk about how we would go about Kiki's choice in career."

"Why did you mention the all-nighter at all if the whole point was about my career?" She asks. A frown etched across her face.

"That's besides the point. For now. But in all seriousness, do you really want to produce for idols?" She asks with a worried expression on her face.

Rolling her eyes, Kiki simply states, "I don't have to only produce for idols. It might help with my anxiety. Save the worrying for later or something."

Standing up from the table, Lucas starts collecting the finished bowls. "I'm glad you found something to try and do, but why did you decide to produce or write for idols?"

Standing up herself, Kiki starts collecting their empty soda cans. "Again, I'm not solely working for idols. I think it would be fun to do remixes of songs or even add my own verses and get indie artists to do them."

Meg sinks into the couch and turns on the television for background noise."Stop avoiding the question."

Flopping onto the couch next to Meg, Kiki sighs. Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, she hesitantly starts. "Well, at first, it was because I liked the messages most idols were telling. I also really enjoyed the diverse genres. Then, the more I thought about it and the more I researched, I often found idols being held back. I guess is the simple way to put it. I simply want to show that idols have a lot more to offer than a few lines and their pretty faces."

A moment of silence passes between the three friends. Smiles adorning two friends' faces.

This will definitely help her.

"That's a great reason to start this. Now, onto other things! Your social media accounts!" Lucas proclaims.

Raising an eyebrow, Kiki quickly questions him. "Accounts? With an s? Why do I need multiple, and shouldn't we start with an upload schedule for a YouTube channel or something?"

Huffing, he disregards the idea of multiple accounts for now. "Fine. At least one Instagram and Twitter account. And for now, we can focus on your YouTube channel."

Chuckling, Meg gets up to grab their laptop. "We can use my laptop to set it up."

As Meg settles down on the floor, Kiki openly asks a question.

"I don't know if it's just me getting my hopes up, but what about management? Like when I need to contact idols or companies. It being for music or NDAs. I would like to keep myself anonymous for as long as possible."

Lucas simply rolls his eyes. "Us, of course. College isn't busy right now. We'll figure out something that works for all of us when we do get busy."

Nodding her head, Kiki goes back to staring at the screen.

Turning slightly to face her, Meg asks, "How often do you want to post on YouTube?"

"Remixes could be once a week? And can collaborations take place every other week? Remixes give me a chance to figure out equipment and musical styles. Though, I don't know how long collaborations would take."

"Fun stuff, now!" Lucas exclaims.

"Equipment?"

Closing her laptop, Meg gets up off the floor to sit on the couch again. "Your equipment will arrive in a span of two weeks."

Childishly pouting, Lucas folds his arms over his chest and complains. "We don't have fast shipping or something?"

Hiding a snort, Kiki simply counters, "Do you have money for fast shipping?"

Hiding her own snicker, Meg makes her own comment: "You're a broke college student; you don't have that type of money. Plus, it's not even your own equipment."

Tossing a pillow at the pair, he huffs. "You guys are bullies."

"Someone has to bully the kid." Meg snides.

"Okay, okay, enough about that." Kiki states calmly, ensuring that they do not start a fight again.

A few moments pass with them watching TV before Kiki starts another conversation. "We never went over what you guys would be managing."

Turning their attention to her, they take a little while to continue the statement.

"What do you want to manage yourself?" They respond.

"Maybe... I don't know. I know I want to at least manage the contracts and emails with the companies. I don't really want to deal with the Twitter and Instagram accounts."

"That's fine. Maybe we can manage the accounts, but you produce the content for them. Like we tell you what's good and what's bad." Lucas suggests.

Nodding her head at the idea, Kiki goes on to question other parts of her future career.

Who would contact idols about certain things? And when she would actually start producing with other people, would it be at their apartment? Would they be comfortable with that? Will they need to invest in a separate studio?

They plan to get a couple more part-time jobs. They plan how they're going to spend their money. They figure out more schedules. Anything they could think of.

Them sitting there on the couch, planning and joking. Them going through all their snacks. Them pulling an all-nighter together.

The two friends watch as Kiki research and research about this. She wants this career to work.

They want this career to work. They want her to be happy. With her job, herself, and her work.

"Hah. Now you can't complain about ME pulling an all-nighter." Kiki jokes as the next morning comes.

They simply roll their eyes.

I'm glad I'm starting this.
