...He Saved My Life?

Everything happened so fast. I had walked into the street after Celton froze up, trying to help him relax. But in an instant I had heard a truck horn, and was suddenly across the street as a semi-truck ran through the street.... And Celton had me held in his arms.
"Celton... how did you do that?" I asked in shock. Celton was sort of frozen and his arms had felt steady, but more importantly, I could feel him. His skin felt soft as silk and yet more dense than steel, and even though he wasn't very bulky, he was muscular as hell and his arms felt powerful. I found myself stuck in his almost golden irises as he held me, until his eyes displayed... fear? Celton stood me back up and started backing away.
"I-I-I-I..." he stuttered. I went to reach out for him before he turned and bolted down the street.
"Celton, wait!" I called out, but he was gone with the wind. I stood on that street corner trying to process what exactly happened. That truck was going way too fast, there should have been no way I made it, let alone that fast. I pulled out my phone and quickly dialed Videl's number.
"You better pick up," I mumbled. The phone rang twice before it connected.
"Claire? What's up?" She asked.
"Seven Star Cafe, get there now," I told her.
"Why? Did something happen?" She asked. I looked back the direction Celton had ran, almost hoping he'd come back.
"I think Celton just saved my life," I said. Videl suddenly hung up, and I took that as my answer that she was coming. After I made my way to the cafe, I hadn't been sitting too long before Videl showed up.
"Firstly, are you alright?" She opened with.
"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine," I said, still sort of shocked. Videl squealed a little as she sat down across from me.
"Good, now tell me everything! Was it a mugging? Did he swoop in like a knight to save you? Was he romantic about it?!" She exclaimed. I set down my tea as I cleared my throat.
"No, it was more... unbelievable. He saved me from a speeding truck while we were walking," I said. "But I don't understand how he was even able to."
"What do you mean?" Asked Videl.
"That truck was moving so fast, there was no way anyone could have done what he did so fast," I explained. "It was literally a split second."
"Wait a second, are you saying he's some kind of superhero?" Videl leaned in and asked.
"No, not that. But the way he acted when he ran off tells me he has something to hide," I said. I took a sip of my tea and looked out the window trying to think of some sort of answer to Celton's speed.
"Right, but there's still something you haven't explained," Videl said. I glanced back to Videl as she smiled at me. "Why were you walking with Celton?" My face flushed and Videl smirked a little.
"It was nothing, we were just going to get coffee," I tried to dismiss the question, but Videl clearly wasn't going to let it go.
"That sounds a lot like a date to me Claire," Videl said, leaning in. I shook my head to try and hide my smile. For some reason, dating Celton sounded like such a sweet deal after what had happened.
"I think you've been watching too many rom-coms," I said.
"And I think you're just trying to kid yourself," Videl shot back. I scoffed a little at her remark, but couldn't deny that Celton was attractive based on what I'd felt.
"Ok, maybe I have a crush on Celton, but there is nothing going on between us," I clarified.
"Whatever you say," Videl dismissed. Videl was clearly rooting for me and Celton but before I could even process that idea, I need to know what that boy is hiding.
