I Can Help You...

When the morning light shined into my face, I couldn't believe the sight I was waking up to. Claire was snuggled into my chest with a smile and my tail draped over her. My chest certainly felt sore, but no worse than some of the beatings I've taken in the past. This must be what made Vegeta settle down with Bulma. I brushed my tail back and forth over Claire's back, drawing a little giggle from her.
"That tickles," Claire mumbled. She sat up a little and rubbed her eyes.
"How'd you sleep?" I asked her.
"The best I've slept in a long time, but how's your chest?" She asked me, clearly still concerned.
"I'm fine. I heal fast, remember?" I said.
"Right, but Ki Control doesn't exactly clean you up," Claire said. She got up and walked into Chi Chi's kitchen. I heard the water run for a moment, before she came back with a rag in her hand. I sat up a little bit, and then Claire sat in my lap. Before I even had a chance to say anything about her action I felt the hot rag on my chest. I gasped a few times and squirmed a little under Claire, who continued to clean the blood from my chest.
"Hold still!" She giggled. I laughed in response as she finally cleaned me up, but still stayed right where she was.
"So is that your tail or are you just happy to see me?" She asked. I felt my face flush a little before she broke out laughing again.
"Sorry," I mumbled with a smile. Claire looked down for a second, but not in a bad way, more like she was thinking.
"Something on your mind?" I asked her.
"Well, since you're a Saiyan, does that mean that Ki Control is just a thing to make people less suspicious?" She asked.
"No, Ki Control is real. I just have a greater capacity for it than humans," I explained.
"Can... anyone learn Ki Control?" She asked.
"It's possible. Why?" I asked. Claire stood up  and put her hands on her hips.
"Then I want to learn it," she said. She wants to learn? From me?!
"Really? You want to learn to use Ki?" I asked, sort of excited.
"I want to do all those things you can do. Flying, ki blasts, all of it," she declared.
"Well, sure. I can try," I said.
"Great, let's get started," she said with a smile. Claire walked outside as I sat a little shocked she wanted to start so soon. I went and grabbed one of my tank tops and then met Claire outside. While I was still wearing my tuxedo pants, I at least had put on a normal shirt. Claire however, was still wearing her dress from the dance. I couldn't help but think how one of us is less dressed for any kind of training than the other. But knowing Claire, she wasn't going to wait at all.
"Alright, what's the first step so I can blow shit up?" Claire asked, very pumped to get ready.
"Well, as much as we'd both love to just skip to the fun part, you need to learn to even tap into Ki first," I explained.
"And how do I do that?" She asked.
"Given what I know about Krillin and Tien's training, I'd say your first step would be meditating. But I can sort of apply some Saiyan ideas to it," I explained. I sat down cross legged on the ground, and luckily Claire had followed my lead.
"Close your eyes. You need to focus on finding... a sort of spark inside yourself," I tried to explain. Claire nodded and closed her eyes. I wasn't super confident in her finding what we were looking for, but if even Hercule Satan can get to his strength without Ki Control then there's hope for everyone. I closed my eyes too, focusing on Claire. Since I was much more experienced in sensing energy it only made sense for me to help search for her power.
"I don't know if I'm doing this right. I don't feel anything," Claire said. I searched as deep as I could, finding a very small point of power in her.
"There is something there, but it's small. Hard to reach," I said dimly. Claire looked up at me and was sort of questioning what I was meaning.
"Here, try this. Focus on a time when you felt helpless. Like you weren't strong enough. Then dig deep to muster that power up," I hopefully explained better. "Treat it like you can change what happened." Claire closed her eyes again, and I could see her slowly start to get emotional in her head. I locked in on the speck of power I'd seen again, and felt it pulse. It's working! But not nearly fast enough... maybe I should...
"I... think I felt something," Claire said while trying to hold back her excitement. She has potential, but she needs a helping hand.
"Good, but know that you aren't going to be able to get the results you want as fast as you want them," I said. Claire sort of sighed in frustration, but then I set a hand on hers. "Unless, you'll trust me to try something. And promise not to worry about me."
"You haven't led me astray yet," she responded. I stood up and moved behind Claire, placing my hand on her back. I closed my eyes and focused on her spark of energy. I slowly raised my power up to a level I was sure she could handle. Alright, let's not pass out this time. I let a small amount of energy out as a primer, and could feel Claire's energy start to pulse over and over again. Claire noticed to as she let out a small sigh. The pulses became faster, until the spark was burning like a fire. I put all my built up energy straight into Claire, and that fire erupted as soon as my eyes opened. A blazing white aura roared to life around Claire as her power multiplied tremendously. Her dress flowed aggressively in her aura and her hair shot skyward on her head. While Claire's power rose my stamina fell rapidly, and I fell backwards lightheaded and out of breath.
"Celton!" Claire exclaimed and turned around to pick me back up. I slowly took some deep breaths trying to stay awake while Claire stood up awestruck with her newfound strength.
"What did you do?" She asked as she looked down at her hands.
"I have a technique that lets me amplify someone's power. The only downside is it takes me out of the fight for a good while," I explained. Claire took another look at her hands, and the wonder in her eyes was amazing to me. Based on what I could sense, she was at about the same level as Captain Ginyu now. Sure, that was still pretty low compared to me, Gohan or even Krillin. But it was still far greater than any other human on Earth.
"Does this mean I can fly now?" She asked.
"No, techniques like that still need to be taught and they can take a while to learn, much less master," I said. Claire grumbled a little in frustration. I knew she wanted to fly right now, but training her here would take months.
"Is there any way to help me learn faster?" Claire asked. There was a place that came to mind, but I wasn't sure if she could handle it. It was extreme even for me sometimes.
"I do know a place, but it's conditions are far more extreme than anything you've ever experienced," I warned her. That didn't seem to matter to her though, as she lit up about it.
"Where is it, and what makes it so special?" She asked.
"It's called the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. It's a place outside the boundaries of our world where a day outside is one year inside." I explained. "But it's not a place to be taken lightly."
"I don't care, if it'll help me learn faster, then I'm not backing down from it," she declared. "Let's go." Well, I guess there's no point trying to change her mind. I should've known this was how she'd react.
"Alright then, let's get you home and changed and then we'll go," I said. I hope she's ready for this. Her power should be enough, but to say I was worried would be an understatement.
