Days after, I was laying in bed, not knowing what to do with myself. And then it hit me, I haven't seen or spoken to my family probably since the wedding. And so, I decided to go visit them. I've missed them so much, especially with all the ups and downs in my life recently. I went to my drawer and found the necklace and began to open it; when from the corner of my eye, I saw my husband leaning on the door.
"And where do you think you're going, love?" He asked.
"I feel homesick, so I'm going to visit my family for a few days." I replied.
     "Yeah, it's been a while. Hasn't it?"
     "Unfortunately,"
There was then a small moment of silence, as we just stared into each other's eyes. John then broke it,
"Well, have fun. Say hi to them for me."
"Would you like to come with me?" I offered.
"I'd love to, but I'm just so busy with work. We gotta get this album done as soon as possible."
"Yeah, I know." I slowly walked up to him, and softly kissed him. "I love you." I whispered.
"I love you too." He smiled.
I then finally opened the locket, and jumped through the big green portal.

"JESUS CHRIST!" My dad shouted, as his neck shot around behind him. The noise of the portal had startled him, as he was watching a football game. "Y/N?" He questioned.
     "Hi, dad." I smiled.
He got up from the couch, and brought me into a warm hug. "I'm sorry it took me so long to come and visit." I apologized. "I've missed you."
"We've missed you too." He turned off the T.V. and led me into the kitchen, since we had been in the living room. "Would you like something to eat or drink?" My dad offered.
"I'm fine, thanks. Where's mom?" I asked him.
"She's just out on a grocery run. She'll be home soon, I believe."
"Alright. So tell me the latest trends! I need to stay modern somehow!" I chuckled.
"Well there's some new songs you might like that are out."
He then proceeded to play a song that sounded really familiar.
"Is this sampled from somewhere?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's a Bruno Mars sample. This is Flowers by Miley Cyrus." He told me.
     "It's interesting!"

Later on, my mom came home and we all catched up with each other.
"I wish I was able to bring a cell phone with me back to my time, but it's just too risky." I said, solemnly.
"Don't say your time, because your time is here with us. It's just you live somewhere else and that's okay." My mom told me.
     "Yeah, right."

The next day was pretty fun. We got together with some of my cousins and went out shopping, and to some entertainment places to celebrate me being home. While shopping, we stopped in at a thrift store because I wanted to get The Beatles a little something that they would understand, but was also from the future and a little modern. I decided to get John an Elvis Presley poster, Paul a shirt with his face on it, George a pair of flared jeans that are trendy nowadays, and Ringo a can of silly string. I knew he would enjoy that and eventually use it on one of the boys (probably Paul).

After five days or so, I decided to go home back to John. My family was sad that I was leaving so soon, but I knew that I would be visiting them soon again. Once I got home, I felt excited to tell John all about my little trip and give him his Elvis wig.
"Alright, how do I look?" John asked, coming out of the bathroom with the wig on. He tried to do an Elvis impression; with the accent, dance moves and famous smirk. I could help but giggle and blush at how goofy he could be sometimes. By this moment, I could tell her really loved my gift and that's all I cared about. I felt like I wanted to make him happy again, with all the stress from the album and just time in general. It had been a while since he was genuinely happy (besides our wedding renewal).
"You look silly!" I told him.
"Ah, I see how it is!" He then walked up to me, grabbed my face gently and kissed me just like how Elvis would kiss desperate women in the front row of his shows. When we parted, I pretended to faint dramatically. For the rest of the day, we sat in bed and watched Blue Hawaii. We hadn't had quality time like this in a while so it was definitely nice to see each other happy and relaxed again.
