Chapter 13

Long Feng quickly rose to his feet and glanced at this new master of his.

"Master, are you really a sword?" He asked curiously. This was something that intrigued him.

"I am not." Wu Kong replied and didn't explain further, and Long Feng didn't ask. He nodded, although he didn't understand.

"Master, what is this symbol on my forehead?" He asked again, glancing at the mirror and noticing that the symbol was gone again.

He didn't mind asking about it, considering that the sword had a very similar symbol and Wu Kong would have likely noticed the symbol on his forehead already.

Perhaps Wu Kong already knew about the three dragons as well.

"You aren't ready to know. When you are stronger, you will understand everything." Wu Kong replied faintly.

Long Feng went silent for a minute as he considered a new question that filled his mind. After several minutes of silence, he could no longer stop himself from asking.

"Master... Did you find the person you've been waiting for?"

It only made sense to be curious about this. After all, Wu Kong was clearly so powerful that it bordered on ridiculousness. Who exactly was he waiting for?

Wu Kong calmly nodded.

"Yes, I've found him. Perhaps, you'll get to meet him some day."

Long Feng nodded, burying that line of thoughts and refusing to consider other possibilities. The continuous chain of mysteries was beginning to overwhelm him, and he would rather not birth any more questions. "Alright master. I have one last question. Who is your master and where did he go to?" He asked again, curious about whom Wu Kong would call 'Master'.

"Who is he...?"

Wu Kong stared at Long Feng and fell silent for a while before gazing into the vast sky again.

"He... went somewhere far away... somewhere he will never return from." He replied softly.

Long Feng understood. He kept quiet and stared at his strange master's back as he stargazed.

"Don't get too excited. I haven't acknowledged you as my disciple. You are far too weak. When you get stronger, I might acknowledge you."

Wu Kong suddenly poured cold water on Long Feng's agitated mind.

His face fell. Indeed. How could such a powerful person possibly want a weakling like him as a disciple? He was just a rank five Connate realm warrior!

"My master left a few martial skills, three ancient remnants and one legacy. With your current strength, you can only use one of those techniques." The man continued.

Long Feng's eyes brightened again. Wu Kong was really taking him on an emotional roller coaster, but Long Feng didn't care about that. His heart was beating for the techniques mentioned. What skill taken out by someone worthy of being Wu Kong's master would be mediocre?

"One of the techniques is with me. Three are each within the three ancient remnants. As for anymore out there, you will have to seek them out on your own." The man said.

"Where are the remnants master? Let's go to them now!" Long feng exclaimed excitedly without thinking over it. The thought of the mountain shattering skills that would surely exist made his blood rush to his head.

Perhaps he could gain the same ability to read minds like Wu Kong? Although it still sounded unbelievable to him.

"With your strength, you would die before you step out of this continent of yours. The remnants are not within this realm. They are spread out over the world. And forget you, not even your Imperial realm cultivators can be able to leave this realm alive. When you are strong enough, you will naturally seek out the remnants." Wu Kong replied indifferently.
