Twilight- Heaven Gale| E. Call

Chapter 20

   "Grams I have another question."

   "Shoot."

   "I saw somebody today. Someone I've seen before. He was glowing though. Like actual light coming off his body, and all this extra movie kind of stuff. What does it mean?"

   Grams smiles.

   "You found your mate."

   "My what?" I had started drinking a dr.pepper. it all flew onto the floor. "As in an animals significant other?"

   "Yes. And no."

   "Why do you decide to be all mystical now?"

  "This is something for you to find out, and figure out on your own."

   "I am. Tomorrow then."

   "Whats tomorrow?" Grams asks quirking her eyebrows, and wiggling them.

   "I'm going to confront Jake. He's going to tell me what's up. Quil is losing it. He is doubting himself as a friend. A person. Embry said they're not allowed to talk, but Jake was. He still might."

   "Oh, well not as fun just remember. Everything comes out eventually. All a cycle, the truth,moon, and sun are just three examples."

   "So, whether I confront Jake or not I'll find out?"

   "Precisly."

   "Embry told me to go to the cliffs on Tuesday. Noon, can I skip lunch?"

   "Sure. Only for this  time though."

   "Maybe you could still guide me and tell what granoa told you?"

   "Nope." She touches my nose, and smiles.

    "OK, Tuesday is only two days away." I reassure myself. "Grams, what if grandpa hadn't imprinted on you? Would he still have liked you?"

   "Yes, it would have taken a little longer but we were meant to be. Imprint, mate, or nothing of us human. Our love was strong."

   "Thats so sweet. Romantic, I want it." We both laugh and the ruffles my hair.

   "You will. Especially niw that you've met your mate. Who was it?" 

    "Well, I have met him before so it's really weird."

    "It happens once you've reached the ability to control your scream. Even the universe doesn't feel like having us accidently crush our mates skull, or anyone elses."

    "Thats a happy note. I understand now, I guess. I was arguing with Embry, and then we made eye contact. I'm so hurt though, because he still just left. If it was Sam because they are the new pack it would still hurt. I don't want to be so leavable."

    "Mi amor estás tan lejos de dejarte. Si es parte de la manada, fue por la seguridad de sus muchachos."

   "What if it was for Jake and Quils safety, but not mine. I know it's stupid but, I just moved here. I like him a lot, but he has had a whole relationship."

   "It will work itself out on Tuesday. He'll explain what's been going on I'm sure."

   "Yeah. It will.  I hope."

    For the rest of the day we just watch TV, talk, and spend time together.

   Tuesdays suck. My friend group at the table has been weird. Bellas sister still doesn't really notice me, I didn't notice her for a while so it's OK. She's always texting her boyfriend. Doesn't talk to any of us older kids really. At least she's not totally wierd.
