Jordan:
It's been a month since Rebecca Kramer walked into my life. I don't know how but this woman has captivated me: her mesmerising blue eyes, her soft chestnut hair and her plump pink lips. I will do anything for this woman and her mini me. Today, Rebecca has her fourth job interview at a publishing company, and normally Cara would look after Sienna, but today I've decided to take the day off to look after her instead. I know Cara would be more than happy to look after her, but I feel like if I can get Sienna on my side; Rebecca will decide to stay with me.
I'm sitting in the livingroom with Sienna on my lap while she plays with one of the many dolls I bought her. She's recently come out of her shell, and it makes me smile whenever she becomes my little shadow. I've actually had a little desk placed in the corner of my office, and she sits there drawing pictures for her mother. As much as I think it's adorable, I have to watch my language and temper whenever she's with me. I'm stroking Sienna's long brunette hair when Rebecca walks into the great room. She's wearing a black high waisted pencil skirt with a grey silk blouse and black high heels. Her hair is swept up in a twist and pinned at the back. She looks breathtaking. I stand up with Sienna in my arms and walk over to her.
"You look great" I say with a smile and she blushes while biting her lip. She has no idea the effect that has on me. I bounce Sienna on my hip and lean in close to her ear.
"Doesn't Mumma look pretty?" I say and she moves her attention away from her doll to look up at Rebecca.
"Mumma pretty" she giggles and reaches her arms out towards Rebecca.
"Thankyou baby" Rebecca grins and takes Sienna from my arms. She gives her a kiss on her head and moves her so that Sienna sits on her left hip. I watch with a smile on my face as Rebecca plays with Sienna's doll and I imagine what she would be like with our children. Woah where did that come from?!
"So are you excited for a day with Jordy?" I hear Rebecca ask Sienna and I'm brought out of my thoughts. Sienna nods vigorously and I let out a chuckle. I look into Rebecca's eyes and I feel myself falling hard.
"Are you ok getting there?" I ask and she nods.
"Mason has told me a Jackson Reid is taking me?" She says it like a question and I realise she's only met Mason. One out of four of my security team.
"Yes Reid, he's another member of my security team" I clarify and she nods with her eyes slightly wider before letting out a sigh.
"So many people" she says with a small, nervous giggle. I walk towards her and stand in front of her; looking down into her blue orbs.
"I know it's still overwhelming, and I'm sorry for that" I apologise and she shakes her head.
"Don't apologise, you know how thankful I am" she grins up at me and I can't help but return the look. I reach my hand out and place it on her cheek; feeling the warmth of her skin radiating off her. She leans into my touch and I can't resist running my thumb along her defined cheek bone.
"Good luck, I have a good feeling about this one" I tell her and she smiles a sincere, breathtakingly beautiful smile. Her last three interviews haven't worked out, so I really hope this one gives her a chance.
"Thankyou, and thankyou for looking after Sienna, you're amazing" she blushes. I smile and take Sienna from her arms; resting her on my hip.
"It's no problem. Now get going, you'll be late" I tell her and she nods.
"Right. Bye baby I love you, be good" she kisses Sienna on her temple. She goes to turn away but quickly turns back and plants a soft kiss on my cheek. I catch a glimpse of her shy smile as she hurries off to the elevator, sending me a little wave as the doors shut on her. I can't help the cheesy grin that spreads across my face. Her lips felt so soft on my cheek, I wonder what they would feel like against my lips? Stop it now Jordan, you're holding her four year old. I turn my attention to Sienna and she grins at me with her little pearly white teeth.
"So miss Sienna, what do you want to do today?" I ask her and she frowns in thought. She suddenly becomes shy and buries her face in the crook of my neck.
"What is it sweet girl?" I rub her back to comfort her and she plays with my tshirt.
"Can we bake a cake please?" she whispers into my neck.
"Of course we can. How about chocolate?" Chocolate is my favourite cake, although I've never actually made one myself. But I will give it my best shot. How hard can it be?Two hours later, both Sienna and I are covered in flour and chocolate icing, there is egg on the floor and I'm pretty sure I have shell in my hair, but the cake is made. If I say so myself, it's pretty darn good for someone who's never made a cake before. I'm just about to give Sienna a bath when Rebecca walks into the kitchen and bursts out laughing.
"Did you guys have fun?" She asks with a smirk on her face. I pick Sienna up and whisper in her ear.
"Shall we give Mumma a big hug and kiss?" I say and she nods. I run over to Rebecca and pull her into my side. She squeals as Sienna plants lots of kisses on her face and squirms in my arms.
"Stop it you little chocolate monster!" She exclaims through her giggles and I laugh even more. Everyone calms down and we stare at each other. She drops eye contact and clears her throat. I let go slightly and put Sienna down.
"So, how did it go?" I ask and she smiles.
"I er... I got the job" she says and I widen my smile, although my throat creates a lump. A job means income, and income means a place of her own. A place without me.
"That's amazing, I knew you could do it" I go to pat her on her shoulder seeing as I'm covered in flour, but she surprises me once again by wrapping her arms around my waist and hugging me tight. I still for a second, but immediately relax and pull her closer.
"Thankyou for everything Jordan, this wouldn't have happened without you" she mumbles into my chest and it hits me; her head is on my chest. And I'm not freaking out. It doesn't burn. It doesn't hurt. I let out a deep breath and I think she realises what she's done and she gasps.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry" she goes to pull away but I pull her even closer.
"It doesn't hurt, it's ok" I want to kiss her on her head, but I refrain myself from doing so. She's going to leave soon, there's no point, I tell myself.
"Congratulations" I guess.
