Christmas preparations and surprises

Rebecca:

"Mummy can we get that one? It's huge!" Sienna points to the biggest Christmas tree we've seen today. It's two weeks before Christmas, and we are currently shopping for our tree and decorations. Jordan kneels down next to Sienna and smiles at her.
"I think this one is the best we've seen. Let's get it" he tells her and I roll my eyes. What the princess wants, the princess gets.
"You're the best daddy!" Sienna announces as she wraps her little arms around Jordan's neck, Jordan returning the hug and picking her up.
"Let's get our tree then" he tells me with a smirk and walks to one of the assistants to get it cut down.

Another two hours later and we are finally home. Mason and Reid manage to get the Christmas tree in the elevator and carry it through to the big room. Cara is in the kitchen making our family dinner for tonight and all I want to do is sleep. I've been exhausted lately, work has been overwhelming will all the manuscripts coming through and Mark has become double the arsehole.
"Right Sienna let's get this tree decorated" Jordan announces and Sienna's eyes grow bigger than her head. This is the first Christmas she's had that she will remember, and I can't wait to see her face on Christmas Day. I grab the lights and get to work, climbing up the ladder and begin wrapping the lights around the tree. Jordan lifts Sienna up to put the snow white and ruby red baubles on the branches before placing Sienna's own ballerina ornament on. I climb down and join in with them, stepping back when Jordan climbs up the ladder with Sienna so she can finally put the star on top of the tree. I watch with a grin on my face, enjoying the family time before the whole crew turns up for a pre- Christmas dinner.

"Wow guys your tree looks amazing!" Megan announces as she walks in with Dominic; sporting a very glittery rock on her left hand. He finally proposed on their four year anniversary last week and the man done good; the ring is incredible.
"Thanks, it's the first time Sienna's decorated a tree so it was fun watching her" I smile as we walk into the kitchen to find the boys and Hope who had gone to tease her older brother like always.

"So when am I getting a new grandchild?" Colleen breaks the silence as we begin dinner. All three of us girls stop eating and look at eachother, I'm pretty sure Dominic choked on his potato and Jordan's eyes became saucers.
"Well don't look at me I don't have the key ingredient to making a child" Hope informs us all and I crack a smile; Hope is always very blunt, even in front of her parents.

"We've just got engaged Colleen, I would like to have the wedding first" Megan giggles, so all eyes are on me.
"I think we are happy where we are right now" I tentatively say and look at Jordan for reassurance.
"Yeah mum don't rush us please, you've got Sienna that's enough for now" he shakes his head and his mum sighs.
"Fine, but I'm not getting any younger"
"Colleen honey leave the kids alone" Jack touches his wife's arm and chuckles. Colleen gives him a fake grin and carries on eating. I love Jordan's parents, they're the epitome of relationships. They're best friends, and they act like they're still high school sweethearts, which is exactly what you need for a successful relationship; to be able to be sickly in love and also act like total idiots around each other. Jordan and I have briefly discussed children, but we certainly haven't agreed to start trying now.

"Hoes work?" Hope asks me and I make a face.
"The work is fine, I love it. My boss however needs to remove his head from his backside and treat me with respect. All the women with respect for that matter. I've never met a more sexist man than him" I say as I finish my plate of food.
"Can't Evelynn do anything?" Dominic chimes in.
"Not really, she needs to catch him in the act. She knows it's going on so she watches him, but he hasn't done anything worthy of a written warning"
"Make him do something then, wear something sexy and get him to slap your arse" Hope suggests and I just laugh. Jordan on the other hand does not.
"Don't do that" he orders and all us girls start laughing.
"Don't worry I won't" I poke my tongue out at him and take a sip of my drink.
"I just really don't want to face him on Monday" I admit.
"Just keep your head down and do your job, karma will get him" Megan tells me and I smile. I love Hope, but Megan is more realistic and careful with her choice of words, more like me. Hope is more like Evelynn, she doesn't care about the consequences, she just likes the drama of everything.

"REBECCA!" Marks booming voice comes from his office and I've just about had it. I've been here for two hours and I already want to put his head through a wall. I get up and walk into his office.
"Yes mark?" I say through gritted teeth. I feel so run down this morning and even I will say that I look pale as a ghost.
"I need those manuscripts I sent you on Friday by two o'clock" he orders and my mouth drops open.
"You sent me ten pages you normally give me a week to edit ten pages"
"Well then you should have done it over the weekend" he spits out at me and I clench my fists.
"Got it" I say and walk back to my desk. As I'm about to sit down I'm hit with a wave of nausea. I quickly run to the bathroom and throw up in an empty cubicle. I throw up two more times before I make my way to the sink and wash my mouth out. Where on earth did that come from? I look at myself and I'm paler than ever. Just then Evelynn walks in and makes a face at me.
"Goodness Rebecca you look like shit"
"Thankyou Evelynn, I feel like it too" I reply sarcastically as she reapplies her lipstick.
"God I hope you're not pregnant" she nonchalantly says and I go to giggle before it hits me. I haven't had a period this month. Evelynn looks over when I fail to reply and her smug smile fades.
"You've got to be kidding. Right one thirty, we're having lunch and getting a test" she demands and walks out, leaving me alone and in shock. Am I really pregnant?
