From Rags to Riches

Where have you been?

Jordan:

It's now Thursday and I haven't had a nightmare since the first night Rebecca slept in my room. I don't know what it is, but I hope it doesn't stop. She cleanses me from the demons that have haunted me since I was a four year old little boy. I get in the car after work and Mason sets off for home.
"Is everything ready to go?" I ask him.
"Everything is set in place sir. Mrs. Bently is with Miss. Kramer and Sienna along with Reid getting ingredients for dinner tomorrow" he informs me and I nod. I cannot wait for Rebecca to return home and see what I had done today. We get back to my place and head upstairs in the elevator. I make my way to my room and take a quick shower before making my way back out to the great room. Just as I walk out, the elevator doors open and Rebecca steps out holding Sienna's hand. As soon as she sees me, Sienna takes off and runs towards me.
"Jordy!" She exclaims as she reaches my arms and I scoop her up high above my head. I'd be lying if I say it doesn't hurt that she's gone back to calling me Jordy, but I suppose there's time to change that again.
"Miss you" she says as she buries her head in my neck.
"I missed you too my beautiful girl" I kiss her head and make my way towards Rebecca. Cara has gone into the kitchen, giving us three a moment together.
"There's my girl" I smirk and pull her in for a kiss. She giggles against my lips and responds; her soft lips against mine is a feeling I will never get bored of. I pull away and take her hand.

"Come, I have something to show you" I take her and Sienna up the stairs into the room Sienna has been staying in. Rebecca gasps as she sees the transformation. I've taken the double bed out and replaced it with a single child's bed shaped like a princess carriage. The walls are a baby pink and the room is filled with a bookshelf with different children's books on the shelves, a toy box matching the bed, a dolls house and various teddies.
"Wow!" Sienna exclaims and wiggles out of my arms to get a better look. I look at Rebecca and her hand is covering her mouth.
"Jordan I- wow I don't know what to say" she stutters out as she looks into my eyes.
"It couldn't be a guest room forever, I wanted to make this her room" I explain and she grins.
"What have I done to deserve you?" She whispers as she wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me down for a searing kiss. I respond immediately and have to remind myself where we are and who is in the room with us. I reluctantly pull away and rest my forehead against hers. I wipe away a stray tear from her cheek with my thumb and kiss her nose.
"You're so beautiful" I whisper and she blushes. I feel a pull on my trouser leg and I look down to see Sienna looking up at me. I kneel down on one knee and she climbs onto it.
"Thankyou Jordy, I love you" she tells me and my heart swells. I swallow back the emotion and smile at her.
"I love you too princess" I say and she gives me a little kiss. I pick her up and stand up, wrapping my arm around Rebecca's waist.
"Come on, let's get some food"

"She wants you to read her a story" Rebecca reveals as she walks into what is rapidly becoming our room. Our room, I smile to myself at that. I get up and go to walk out but she gently grabs my arm.
"Hey" she says to get my attention. I turn to look at her and she bites her lip.
"I saw your face when she called you Jordy. She's confused, she doesn't know what to call you. You might get a few questions when you go up there. Say whatever you feel comfortable with, I'm happy with whatever she calls you" she tells me and I smile at her.
"Ok" I simply reply and give her a quick kiss before making my way up to Sienna's room. She's in her new bed cuddling her new teddy holding a new book. I grin at the sight before walking over and sitting in the chair next to her bed. I take the book from her hand and she looks up at me with her gorgeous little blue eyes. She's going to be a heartbreaker like her mum one day.
"You ready princess?" I ask and she nods with a grin on her face. I start reading Sleeping Beauty and by the end of it I look over and see she's fighting against sleep. I get up and put the book back on the shelf before walking back and planting a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Jordy?" She whispers half asleep.
"Yeah?"
"Can I call you daddy?" She asks and I grin.
"You can call me whatever you want angel" she sleepily nods and hugs her teddy tighter.
"Love you daddy" she mumbles and I swear I have tears in my eyes.
"I love you too, so much" I whisper in her ear as I lean down to give her another kiss on her head. I switch her nightlight on and make my way back downstairs into my room. Rebecca is reading a book as always and she smiles as I walk in. I remove my shirt and climb on top of her; making her sink down and squashing her book against her face. She laughs and puts the book on her bedside table.
"Well hello there" she says and I smirk.
"Hi" I lean in and softly kiss her. She kisses me back and I lose myself in her. I run my tongue along her plump lips and she lets out a soft moan before touching her tongue with mine. She wraps her arms around my neck as the kiss becomes more heated and I skim my hand down her long bare leg. I can feel her tense slightly and I immediately take that as a sign to say she isn't ready to go any further. I bring my hand back up to her cheek and we carry on for what feels like forever.

I pull away and roll over next to her, pulling her with me so we face each other. She smiles as she cups my cheek and strokes her dainty thumb along my cheek bone.
"So what did my daughter have to say?" She asks and I smile at the moment Sienna and I shared.
"She asked me if she could call me daddy" I tell her.
"And what did you say?"
"I told her she could call me whatever she wanted... So she said 'I love you daddy'" I say and Rebecca smiles that breathtaking smile.
"Is that ok with you?" I ask and she nods vigorously.
"Of course" she gives me a soft kiss and rests her head on my chest, drawing little patterns with her finger.
"How was work?" I ask her.
"It was ok, normal stuff really. I'm going shopping with Evelynn tomorrow though. She's going to drive me back here and I'm going to drop Sienna off round hers so she can meet her daughter. I thought it would be nice for Sienna to interact with someone her age" she explains.
"That sounds like a good idea" I tell her and kiss the top of her head.
"And how are you, what about your nightmares?" She asks and looks up at me.
"I haven't had one since that night" I confess.
"Seiously?" She asks astonished and I nod my head and cup her cheek.
"Where have you been?" I ask her.
"Waiting for you to save me" she whispers against my lips and I kiss her with all the passion I have before settling down for yet another night of no nightmares.
