Jordan:
I'm sitting on the sofa writing some last minute emails when I hear the elevator riding up. Mason went down to meet Rebecca when he saw Duke pull in to the car park. I look up when I hear the doors open and I can't help but chuckle when I see Rebecca stumble out into the room.
"Hi Jordan!" She enthusiastically greets me as she runs towards me with her arms out like a child running towards their parent. I manage to catch her just as she trips down the two steps that lead into the living room.
"Hey there baby, good night?" I ask, holding the laugh in as I manage to get her standing up. I say thankyou and goodnight to Mason before basically dragging Rebecca into our bedroom."So good! I was on fire!" She announces while actually licking her finger and making a 'st' sound in the air like she's putting a flame out. I can't hold it in anymore, I burst out laughing. My girl is hilarious when she's drunk.
"Was you now?" I ask, going along with her childish mood.
"At first I was like, so nervous, but then Evelynn kept giving me drinks even though I said I didn't want one after the second but she insisted... So I had three more and then I was like 'you know what? This bitch has been a pain in my arse so I'm going to stand up for myself for once in my life' you know what I'm saying?"
I'm exhausted just from listening to that. I nod with wide eyes and hum in agreement. My girl is also a rambler when she's drunk."So I completely ratted her out, Evelynn said she was blacklisted in society, I poured my martini over her head and walked out a champion" she concludes her story with a smug grin and her fists on her hips.
"You poured your drink over her?" I ask as she struggles to take her shoes off. I would normally help her, but instead I'm thinking I should have made popcorn because this show is far more entertaining.
"I did. Such a waste though, the martini was divine" she tells me as she now moves on to the zip of her dress. I'm quite shocked Rebecca actually made such a bold move, but proud none the less. Although I am worried she's been hanging out with her boss too much; that's definitely an Evelynn move."Jordan, stop watching me like I'm a comedy show and help me undress!" She demands with a cute pout on her face and I laugh before getting off the bed to help her. She moves her hair from her neck and I unzip her gorgeous ruby red dress. I follow the zip with kisses down her spine and I can see the goosebumps appear on her back.
"Done" I say once the zip has reached the bottom and let go, letting the dress fall to a pool around her. She stands naked in front of me and all I can think about is that naked body on my bed.
Rebecca also was thinking the same, but in my mind, her body would be awake. Within ten seconds she's passed out on the king size bed in starfish position. I just shake my head and laugh before getting out of my clothes and climbing into the little section of bed her limbs don't reach."Why is mummy still in bed?" Sienna asks me the next morning. It's eleven o'clock and Rebecca still hasn't risen from the bedroom.
"Mummy went out with Evelynn last night and she didn't get back until really late, so she needs to catch up on her sleep" I explain to her.
"What were they doing? What is there to do at night, everyone is in bed like me" she says her theory and I smile. She's a smart kid, but she's got a lot to learn.
"That's right Sienna, but people mine and mummy's age are old enough to do things that only happen at night"
"Can I do these things?"
"When you're twenty-one honey"
"But I'm only-" Sienna gets cut off by a groan that comes from Rebecca's mouth as she walks out of her room clutching her head."Rise and shine honey" I say and the look i receive... I'm surprised I'm not dead.
"Hi mummy!" Sienna says and Rebecca winces at the volume of her daughter's voice, despite Sienna talking in her normal voice.
"Morning Sienna" she weakly greets her and kisses the top of her head. She pats my head as she walks past me to go into the kitchen. I smirk and follow her.
"Rough?" I ask as she places her head against the fridge door.
"Like you wouldn't believe. This is so cold it's amazing" she mumbles and I chuckle.
"My poor baby" I sympathise as I walk over and pull her into my arms.
"Want something to eat?" I ask and she shakes her head before clutching it.
"God no, I'll throw up" she groans into my chest. I pull away from her and pour a glass of cold water and get two tablets from the cupboard.
"Take these" I hand the water and tablets over and she takes them before walking back to the table."Do you remember what you did last night?" I ask Rebecca while she wipes Sienna's mouth.
"Erm Evelynn ordered me another cosmopolitan when I said no, we were talking about the kids I think" she tells me and I laugh.
"What?" Her hand stills on Sienna's cheek as Sienna takes the wipe from Becca and finishes wiping her mouth herself.
"That's it?" I ask and she slowly nods.
"Oh god what did I do?" She asks with a worried look on her face. As I'm about to answer Mason walks in and informs me that Evelynn is coming up. Perfect. I'll just sit back and watch the show."Oh my goodness Rebecca you badass!" Evelynn announces her presence as she walks in with three coffees and Elise behind her.
"ELISE!" Sienna shouts as she climbs down and runs towards her best friend.
"Sienna don't shout please" Rebecca grumbles.
"Sienna how about you show Elise your new doll house?" I say to her and she nods before taking Elise's hand and taking her upstairs.
"Evelynn what did I do? I remember up to three cocktails and kid talk" Rebecca explains and Evelynn's eyes widen.
"Oh honey things got hot after that" Evelynn hands me and Rebecca a coffee before taking a sip of her own."Rebecca you grilled her about Conrad and then chucked your martini over her"
"Martini? I was thinking cosmo- oh my god! I went to martinis after. Oh god I remember" Rebecca's face is pure gold; definitely a good idea to stick around.
"Don't sweat, it was the perfect move. You'll go down in history" Evelynn reassures her and I just keep laughing. She's mortified, and it's brilliant.
"I'm going to go into the office, I'll leave you girls to it" I kiss Rebecca on her forehead before making my way into the office, the smug smile plastered on my face.
