Jordan:
"Hey little brother" Dominic greets me as he struts through the club. I roll my eyes before shaking his hand and patting him on the back. He leans up against the bar and takes a sip of the beer I had ordered in for him.
"So what's new?" I ask him, a question still foreign to the both of us. I never asked about Dominic's life, or Hope's for that matter. It's only really been since Rebecca that I've paid attention to my sibling's lives."Just wedding, wedding, and a bit more wedding" Dominic answers with a chuckle.
"But it's all good. Megan is in her element, whatever makes her smile" he sips more of his drink and I join him
Followed by a nod.
"Have you set a date yet?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"We've been talking about August, so I think that will be the month. Nothing has been set in stone though" he informs me and I smile.
"You better get cracking, Dominic. Otherwise Hope is going to take over" I warn him and he nearly chokes on his beer.
"Don't say that, if it was up to her I would be dressed in chinos and Toms" he shivers at the thought and I burst out laughing.
"I do have a question for you though" Dominic continues and runs his finger around the rim of his nearly empty beer glass.
"Yeah? Ask away" I say and gesture towards him, encouraging him to carry on."Will you be my best man?" He asks and I don't know why but I'm shocked.
"You want me?" I ask for clarification. Dominic just chuckles and gestures behind the bar for another beer.
"Of course, why wouldn't I? You're my brother and I love you, even though you refused to accept me during childhood" he laughs again and I chuckle with him.
"I'd be honoured, thankyou" I smile and pat him on the back as I ask for another beer.
"Is Rebecca excited?" I nod at the question and smirk.
"Hasn't stopped talking about it since Megan asked her" I chuckle as I recall Rebecca's reaction.
"You've got a good one, Jordan. I never thought you would settle down, even consider a family. I'm proud of you little brother" Dominic tells me and I can see the pride reflect in his eyes.
"I know I was very distant with you for most of our childhood, and even early adulthood. But I'm proud of you too. I never thought you would keep it in your pants but you've managed to for the past four years" I say with a chuckle and Dominic throws his head back laughing.
"But Megan is good for you too. She sees through your bullshit and that's what you needed I think" I smile as he raises his glass.
"To the fabulous women in our lives" I pick my glass up and clink it with his.
"Cheers brother" I grin before taking a sip."So how was your guys night on Saturday?" Kaz teases as she dumps a load of files on my desk.
"It was very good actually, thankyou Kaz" I smirk as I take the files and scan through the headings on them, picking out the one I need for my meeting in an hour.
"Hows Rebecca? Any morning sickness?" She asks as she sits down like she's at home.
"So far she's been fine, since her boss has gone work has been less stressful which is good" I explain and she rolls her eyes.
"Urgh lucky bitch, I was sick pretty much all through my pregnancy with Leo. If she's one that just grows a neat little bump too I'm gunna flip. I gained so much weight in places I didn't think could gain weight" she rambles and I just grin at her. Kaz has always managed to break down my walls. I don't know how or why, but her strong demeanour and care-free attitude has always intrigued me.
"I'm serious Jordan, she better suffer" she stands up and walks to the door before turning around.
"I mean that in the nicest possible way. Have a good day Jordan" she grins before making her way out of my office and across to hers.I walk in to the apartment to Sienna running towards my legs as usual.
"Hi princess, where's your mum?" I ask and she points towards our room.
"She's been making funny noises, is she ok?" I kiss her head and stand up.
"She's ok honey" I walk over to the TV and put on one of Sienna's DVDs.
"Why don't you watch The Jungle Book and I will come and join you in a moment?" I say and she nods before walking over and sitting on the sofa.
"Mr. Matthews, Miss. Kramer has been in there for about ten minutes now. I didn't want to disturb her" Cara says from the kitchen and I smile at her.
"It's ok Cara, can you just keep an eye on Sienna for me?" I ask and she nods before I make my way into our bedroom; knocking on the bathroom door."Becca?" I open the door and find her hugging the toilet looking pale as a sheet.
"You don't want to see this" she tries to hide her face but ends up putting it down the basin to throw up again. I kneel down next to her and rub her back soothingly.
"Whoever called it morning sickness is an arsehole" she mumbles down the toilet and I try and hide my chuckle.
"Is this the first time you've thrown up today?" I ask and she nods.
"Thank god. It wouldn't have been a good first day for Allie if I kept disappearing" she manages a giggle before she heaves, although nothing coming out. She reaches up aimlessly and I give here a helping hand; flushing the toilet before helping her over towards the sink.
"How did it go?" I ask as she brushes her teeth. She nods and take her toothbrush out of her mouth.
"Really good. She's lovely and she seems to just click with the job" she smiles before continuing to brush her teeth. I kiss the side of her head before walking back out to sit beside Sienna.
"Is mummy ok?" She looks up at me with her gorgeous blue eyes and I smile at her.
"She's fine peanut, she'll be out in a minute and we will have dinner" she climbs into my lap and snuggles in close to my chest. I smile gratefully and thank whoever is watching over me for this gift.
