Jordan:
I wake up and find the bed is empty besides my own presence in it. I hear some noises outside of the door of mine and Rebecca's room and soon the door swings open and Sienna runs in. I pretend to be asleep as she climbs up the bed, starts jumping up and down and giggles while doing so. "Daddy! Daddy wake up! It's your birthday! It's your birthday!" She exclaims excitedly.
I chuckle and turn around before I start tickling her sides. "Mummy! Mummy help! Daddy's turned into the tickling monster!" she yells as she squirms under my touch.
And that's when I hear hit. I hear the laugh of my Rebecca, my angel. I still can't see her but I know she's here. I hear her steps come down the hallway and I can't help but smile as she stands there in the doorframe, wearing only her nightgown. In her hands I see a tray with a plate on it. I can't see what's on the plate because a napkin in placed over it. She gives me one of her angelic smiles as she steps into the room and sits next to me on the bed.
I immediately pull Sienna on my lap and lean in to give Rebecca a kiss. "Good morning, beautiful" I whisper in her ear and I see how blood is rushing to her cheeks.
I absolutely love how I have that effect on her. I would have thought that effect would wear off during time but I'm glad it hasn't. It may be really selfish but I just love to see her blush.
"Happy birthday, Jordan." She says to me as she leans over to kiss my lips. Right at that moment Sienna moves in my lap and starts giggling.
"Mummy? Can I give daddy his present now?" she asks Rebecca with the cutest little pout I have ever seen on her face. I really can't believe she got me a present, though I feel really excited. Rebecca just nods at her and Sienna storms out of the room.
That little girl really knows how to put a smile on my face. I don't think I have ever smiled so much until Rebecca and Sienna came into my life. "I'm really sorry about her. She's just so excited to give you your present. She never had a father figure in her life and-" Rebecca starts but I cut her off by pressing my lips on hers.
"Becca, don't worry about it. She's perfect the way she is. Just as you are. I lo-," this time it was me who gets interrupted, but not by Rebecca. No, this time it was our little bundle of joy who jumps into my lap and gives me something that looks like a drawing.
I open the paper and I can't help but smile at what's there. On the paper are some scratches that look like she tried to write something down. In the corner of the paper Rebecca had written down what was supposed to be there. The word read: 'Look under the napkin.'
I smile up at Sienna, who now is standing on my lap looking really excited. "You want me to look under the napkin, Princess?" I ask her and she just nods her head. She nods so fast and hard that for a moment I'm scared her head might fall off. "You want to help me taking the napkin away?" I ask her and again she nods.
Rebecca moves the tray that is now on her lap a little closer so Sienna can actually reach the napkin. She takes the napkin off and now a piece of chocolate cake is revealed. I smile immediately as I remember the conversation we had a few weeks ago.
"Do you like it daddy? Mummy and I made it while you were at work yesterday!" She beams with a big smile on her face.
"I absolutely love it, Princess. Thank you." I say as I kiss the top of her head.

Rebecca, Sienna and I are enjoying our early dinner when my phone rings and my assistant is panicking about some missing file. "I'll be right there, let me just finish my meal and I'll take care of it." I say before I hang up and sigh to myself.
I see Rebecca smile at me. "Just go rule the world. I'll take care of the dishes," she says.
I stand up, leaving my empty plate and give Rebecca a kiss. "Have I told you that you're the best thing that has happened to me in a long while? Because you should know you are. I promise to make this quick and return home as quick as I can." I say before I kiss her one more time and then make my way out of the door.
I come to the office to be greeted by an empty building, which isn't weird seeing it's a Saturday. I phone my assistant to ask him where he is and why exactly I am here. "Sorry, Mr. Matthews, I already fixed the problem, the file was just on your desk like you said it would me. I'm sorry I haven't called you to tell you it's all taken care of." He says through the phone and I sigh.
"Was that everything?" I ask slightly annoyed by the fact I have come all this way for absolutely nothing while I had to leave Rebecca and Sienna behind, on my birthday.
My assistant swallows on the other end of the line, which tells me I make him rather nervous. "I just have one more thing to say, sir. Happy birthday" he says before he hangs up.
I decide to leave this little accident as it is and just go back home to my family. Yes, I said it. Rebecca and Sienna are my family.
-
I open the door to my home and to my surprise everything is dark. "Rebecca?" I call. "Are you here?" I ask after. I then flip on the lights with the switch next to the door and my moth drops open as I take in the surroundings. In front of me now stood my mom, dad, Hope, Dominic, Megan, Evelynn with her husband and a few of my own friends. And that's when I see her, coming down the stairs, wearing a beautiful red dress matched with black pumps and her hair pinned up.
She walks towards me with a smile on her face. "I know you don't like to celebrate your birthday, or you just don't want to accept that you're now a year older. But I thought we should throw a little party just for the sake of it." she says.
I just smile down at her and pull her in for a kiss. "It's prefect, baby. Thank you," I say before I kiss her again. I look around the room one more time, feeling like I'm missing somebody.
"Don't worry," Rebecca says as she senses who I'm looking for. "Sienna is playing in her room with Elise. Your parents are taking them home with them in a bit, so we can enjoy the party." She says with a smile on her face and I just can't help myself and pule her in for another long kiss.
-
The party is amazing and I love how Rebecca just makes her own way around. While I take the time to catch up with my friends she just talks with Evelynn and dances with Hope and Megan. Rebecca has made me realise what's important in life. It's not all about working. There's also friends and family that make life great.
By midnight everyone starts filing out, leaving just Rebecca and I. I look around the living room and go to the kitchen to start doing the dishes. Yes, Rebecca makes me do the dishes sometimes and I love doing them as long as she's happy.
Rebecca just takes my hand and pulls me away from the kitchen and to our bedroom. "We can take care of those tomorrow," she says and just pulls me in for a kiss. We walk into the great room and Rebecca suddenly comes to a holt.
"I left your final present in the bedroom. Give me five minutes?" She asks me and I nod in confusion.
"Of course" she smiles and quickly runs off into our bedroom. I smile as I think about tonight's events. I've never enjoyed birthdays, but tonight with Rebecca and Sienna, I've never been so happy to be a year older.
Five minutes later I walk into our room and my jaw drops.
Holy shit.
