Birthday - Chapter 39

(Flashback Of The Last Year)

"Uh hi?" I look around awkwardly as I found Taehyung sitting on the couch and talking to my appa while eomma places coffee in front of them.

"Y/n, your aunt kim has invited you to her house today. Taehyung is here to pick you up" Appa told me as I nodded awkwardly.

"b-but you guys...?" I mumble.

"Oh Taehyung will drop you home later by the evening."eomma speak as I nod my head in understanding.

But why him?!

Mrs. Kim could call me, I'll come by a cab myself.

"I'll get ready quickly" I speak as I see Taehyung looking at me this time. He only nod in response as I quickly ran upstairs to my room.

It's my birthday today.

I wonder if he remembers though.

But would cares even if he remembers it. I'll just go there, spend time with Mrs. Kim and come back home. Then celebrate the day with eomma and appa.

I quickly wore one of my plain maxi dress and put on my lipstick.

I think it should be okay, right?

I don't want to wear basic today. Not that, I want everyone to know it's my birthday but still, you know?

Looking at myself one last time in the mirror, I opened the door to walk outside the room but get startled as I see eomma at the door.

"Wha--"

"Wear this bracelet. My mother gave it to me when I was going to get married to your appa. I'm giving this to you as you are soon going to get married too now." eomma spoke making me furrow my eyebrows.

"But there's still a month to go, eomma" I sigh but she roll her eyes.

"Y/n, just take this, and wear it today okay?"

"Okay" I said as I struggled to put the bracelet on my wrist.

"Tch, how will you manage things when you get married." Eomma glared at me as she put on the bracelet on my wrist.

What is her problem broooo

"thanks though. It's pretty"

"Don't lose it. Pass it down to your next generation" She slightly pat on my arm before walking away making me sigh as I walked down stairs as well.

"Im ready" I spoke as I stood in the living room.

"You look good y/n!" Appa smiled as I smiled back and looked at Taehyung.

"Shall we go?" I questioned as he nodded his head, smiling at me.

After we left the house, he drove us to his home which was about 20 minutes of ride.

Mrs. Kim welcomed me in the house with a warm hug after which Mr. Kim, jin oppa and suyeon eonnie greeted me, we all sat down as I saw Taehyung walking away and they asked me if I wanted anything special for the wedding.

They wanted to go shopping soon too. We talked about the wedding.

It was surprising for me but they knew it was my birthday.

And they called me to surprise me!

But I was already surprised when Mrs. Kim sent me to Taehyung's room to call him.

I knocked on the door but frown as I get no response.

"Taehyung?" I knock again but get failed to get a response yet again.
