HOURS AND HOURS PASS OF ME HAVING FUN WITH THE NEW PEOPLE IVE MET. It was dark out but the weather felt right. Everyone was asleep, except me since I was bored and I had nothing better to do. I snuck out the window and climbed the roof. I made it to the highest point and looked up at the sky. I sighed and took it al in.
"Nice up here huh?" Enid said. I jumped and almost fell off the roof. She ran to me and held out her hand.
"You okay?" She said with worry in my eyes.
"Yeah I'm alright, you just scared me." My voice still shook with fear.
"Sorry I should've said something."
"No worries, I thought I was the only one who was up here." She smiled.
"Nope, in fact, Ron sometimes comes up here but all he wants to do now is to make out with me." She said.
"You two are a thing?" I asked. She wanted to say no but I could tell she liked him.
"It's complicated. We don't really call ourselves a couple."
"Friends with benefits?" She shook her head.
"I don't know man, maybe he's just like a one night stand kinda guy."
"Maybe. You can try him out." I whipped my head around.
"SORRY! That came out wrong. I meant like you can hangout with him and maybe date him?"
"Woah, I ain't settling down just yet. I still have this whole world to discover! Even though he is kinda cute, I don't think he digs me."
"Understandable, he's more of an introvert." I nodded with her.
"Sorry again. The topic came up and I had to say something." I placed my hand over here.
"It's no big deal." I smiled. She smiled back and hugged me. I went stiff. I haven't had an actual hug since my mother. I didn't know how to react. Do I hug her back? I slowly raised my hands over her back and placed them down gently. It felt warm a fuzzy feeling arise in my body. She let go and the coldness came back.
"We should probably get inside before we-" Ron's face appeared from the window.
"Hey guys." He said in a sleepy voice.
"Hey Ron, come join us." I said. He slumped up and lazily got over to us. He sat next to Enid and wrapped his arm around hers. She look, uncomfortable. I rubbed my arm and whistled to fill the silence.
"So, how long have you guys been in here?" I said.
"All my life practically."
"About 2 months." I looked at Enid. Huh SHES a newbie too.
