━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I COULDN'T SLEEP AT ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT FOR 2 REASONS. One was the fact that a man was in our house that could've robbed us or killed us. And two, me and Carl finding out that Michonne and Rick did the devil's tango. Tyler was asleep like a baby while I sat up in my bed, focused on what happened. I decided to go talk to Carl about it since he might be up too. I knocked on his door quietly and then cracked the door. His bed was empty so I went into full search and maybe panic mode. I quietly walked around the house, but no sight of him. I went back to my room and looked out the window to see if he was outside. I opened my window and climbed out, while the fresh air blew through my room.
I began to climb out and slowly closed the window, I didn't want to wake up Tyler. He's been through a lot. I began to walk carefully on the roof. The sounds of the shingles crackling under my footsteps was tranquil. I made it to the highest point and saw Carl sitting there, looking at the sunrise. I walked over and sat next him, without saying a word.
"What are you doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be caring for your so-called brother?" He said with attitude.
"I can be up here if I want to. And he's fine, he's sleeping and in good condition so, I think he can fend for himself." I said. He sighed.
"Sorry, it's just... I don't want you to lose you." He said as he looked at me.
"Aww you care about me." I said. He rolled his eyes as I let out a laugh.
"But on a serious note, thank you for caring but I can fend for myself. I survived an invasion from those people with the W's on their heads." I said.
"Yeah, but that scar says something else." He said as he pointed at my horizontal scar.
"So? I look badass." I said. He smiled and laughed.
"One of these days you're gonna get yourself in trouble." He said.
"Yeah, laugh at me when that day comes." I said as I looked at the sunrise. The sun slowly blinded my eyes as I squinted.
"Your parents should be up soon. Speaking of your parents... how are you feeling about finding out they did... um... you know what." I said trying to make it not as awkward as I want it to be.
"I mean... I don't know, everyone does it. It's not too much of a big deal. They like each other a lot and they're grownups so they can do what they want to.
"True. But... I don't know where I'm going with this." I said.
"Me either." He said with a smile. I smiled and laughed as I laid back on the roof.
"Do you think we'll be able to keep this place alive? Like running and shit." I asked.
"I think so, we haven't had much luck with other places so, this place has a chance." He said.
