━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ "Alexandria has been here since the whole apocalyptic period happened. This is a place where you can be free and not have to worry about walkers." I said.
"But what about people?" He said.
"Sorry?" I asked a bit confused.
"What if people who try to kill you come in and ambush you?" He asked.
"Oh, well I don't know what we would do. I'be only been here for about a week and half so I might be a little rusty on my first impression." I said. "But I have thought of that and things we could do to prevent it. Like using our guns, by the way I'm going to need you guys to hand in your guns. Don't worry, you'll be able to get them back when you go on runs." I finished. They all handed me their guns. The one with the grayish hair had a huge one and it was more heavy than Sam. I saw Aiden and handed the guns to him. He gave me a weird look, but I pointed to the artillery place.
"Moving on, this place is a sanctuary for all. We don't judge people here by their past actions, but by their future choices." I said. I thought of the past actions part and mentally slapped my forehead.
"This is our vacant houses, feel free to choose which one you like." I said.
"You're giving these out freely to the people." Rick asked.
"Well I'm not in charge of the houses but whoever is, are giving them out for free." I said.
"Do you have your own house." The boy asked.
"I-I can't own a house yet, I'm just living with one of the moms for now." I said. His face saddened when he thought he could own his own house.
"Mom would've wanted us to live in one of these." The boy said. Rick nodded.
"We'll pick this one." He said.
"Dang, I've been wanting to get that one. Joking but I hope your happy with it." I said. "But before you guys settle yourself. Deanna would like to talk to you each individually. Interview you basically." I said. He looked at me then walked over to Deanna's place. I kept looking at the brown haired boy in awe. I knew that he was a boy from the past but I wasn't sure. I waved them all off while a few of stayed. One of them, I think her name was Rosita kept looking at me. I don't know why but I just kinda stood there awkwardly.
"You know, this place could be our final destination." A girl with dark hair slicked back into a ponytail.
"The walls could be replace though." Rosita replied.
"I'll agree with you on that." I said. They both looked at me up and down.
"I like her." The woman with black hair said.
"Me too, she isn't like the rest of them.." Rosita said as she got close to me. I laughed nervously.
"How many walkers have you killed?" She asked.
"Excuse me?"
"Just answer the damn question." She said.
"Um a lot." I said.
"How many humans have you killed?"
"2. My mother and my father." I said sternly.
"Why?" She asked.
"They tried to kill me first." I said. She backed away and smiled.
"Well I'm Rosita, this is Tara and Eugene." She said. I held out my hand to them as they shook it.
"I'm Quinn, well you already know that." I said.
"How old are you?" She asked.
"I'm 14, maybe 15 I don't know what month it is." I said. She smiled and looked at Tara.
"Same age as Carl.." I heard her whisper.
"Who's Carl?" I asked.
"The boy with the brown hat." She replied. It clicked. The name clicked with everything.
"Carl.." I said now at ease. She smirked.
"10 sodas say that in the next week they'll be holding hands." Rosita said to Tara.
"I say 2 weeks but you're on!" She said. I rolled my eyes and walked away. I saw Ron with Enid and they looked so happy. I waved to them and they waved back. I turned around and saw Jessie talking to Rick. Rick gave her a casual smile while Jessie was just beaming. I walked over to them and smiled.
"So I see you've met Jessie?" I said.
"Yep, she's so far very cool." He said. Ha, he said cool.
"Yeah, I love jessie. She's like a mother that I never had." I said. He smiled and looked towards the sun.
"Do you genuinely think this place has potential?" He asked.
"It can have potential if we change." I said. He nodded.
"You're like us, you know what it's like to deal with bad people." He said. Don't have to tell me twice.
"Do you think you can introduce Carl to your friends tomorrow?" He asked. I nodded.
"Of course! I'd be happy to." I gave him a grin and he smirked.
"Carl needs some kids around his age to hang out with. To bond with... to talk to." He said.
"After I first got here, talking to new people was hard but I learned to adjust. He'll be okay, plus maybe he'll find a girl that will please him. That sounded so wrong I'm sorry.." I said with an awkward laugh.
"I get it. Maybe that girl will be you.." I turned to him wide eye.
"Me? I-I don't know about that. Shit, I don't know if he even remembers me." I said while pushing some of my hair back.
"You knew Carl?"
"Yeah I went to the same school as him. Everyone called my Harley Quinn because of well the name Quinn. He was always so sweet to me and I remembered him telling me to have a good day every day and that I was pretty. I guess you could say that he was my first crush." I replied. He let out a small laugh.
"When he finds out he'll be ecstatic." He said while putting a hand on my shoulder.
