━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I WRAPPED THE BANDAGE AROUND HIS WRIST AS HE BIT HIS LIP. I knew what he did because I've done it before. I thought it would help take the pain away but it just made it worse.
"I-I'm so sorry you had to-"
"I've done it too." I pinned the bandage and sat back on the toilet.
"I thought it would help." He said as he rubbed his neck with his other arm.
"I thought it would too but, it just led me down a bigger hole that I couldn't get out of for a while." I got up but he grabbed my wrist.
"Please stay for a moment." I bit my lip and sat back down on the toilet.
"What did you mean by not being able to be with the person you care about the most?" He asked.
"Um.." I couldn't form any words due to me feeling embarrassed. He place his hand on my knee and smiled. My heart ached as I placed my hand on his.
"I'm guessing it was meant for me." He said. I slowly nodded.
"And I feel bad. I feel bad knowing that Enid wanted to start over with you, and that she wanted to mend things from the beginning and-"
"I said no." He interrupted.
"Excuse me?" I said hoping I didn't hear what I think said.
"I said no. This was the 4th time we tried and it didn't work out the 3rd time. So, you don't have to feel bad about anything." He said.
"But here's what I don't understand. I thought you liked Enid. What happened?" I asked.
"We just didn't work out. Our spark wasn't there anymore, like it was when I first met her." He said. I was completely wrong about their relationship.
"Oh, well um.." I couldn't think of anything else to say or do.
"You don't have to stress anymore." He said as he got closer. I swallowed and gave a nervous smile. His hand cuffed my cheek and I could feel my heart began to race. He began to lean in as well as I. I felt his breath on my skin as we were merely inches away from connecting. The temptation to just go for it was hard to keep in. As our lips finally brushed each other, we synced up. Our movement was like a paint brush on a canvas.
His other hand wrapped around my wait as I wrapped my arms around his chest. Fireworks went off in my head as a sign of happiness. I had finally found love after years and years of waiting. We let go of the kiss and I smiled.
"Thank you." I said.
"For what?" He asked.
"For coming into my life, and making it a little bit better." I said. He smiled and kissed me again. All I could do was smile and take in the moment. No one will know, but I'll know. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I stood in my room looking in my mirror as I turned. I didn't know how I felt on my outfit so I walked out of my room and went downstairs.
"Hey Jessie?" I asked hoping she would answer.
"She's not here." Enid replied. My heart dropped. Shit.
"Oh well then even better because I need an opinion on my outfit." I said as I walked over to her. She looked at me up and down.
"So?" I asked.
"You look good." She said. I smiled and spun around.
"So, are you and Ron together?" I asked acting clueless.
"Yep! We've started over and everything is going smooth." She said. I stopped spinning and looked at her.
"Are you sure?" I asked. She looked at me and tried to say something but couldn't.
"We didn't actually get together again. He said that it wasn't working out." She said with a sad face.
"Oh I'm sorry." I said as I bit my cheek.
"Eh I'll be okay. It's just a boy anyways." She said.
"Well at least your positive about it." I said.
"Trying to act like it." She said. I looked at her and gave her a look.
"What?"
"You need to be happy about this! You can live freely without the worry about pleasing him!" I said knowing damn well she didn't need to worry about that in the first place.
"Well, I don't know. I mean it's just weird not having someone by my side constantly." She said.
"Just do something fun!" I said. She puffed out her lower lip and went upstairs.
"I'm gonna play some video games." She said.
"That's the spirit." I said as I raised my fist in pride. Ron walked through the door and looked at me with a bright smile.
"Hey." He said as he got close to me.
"Hey." I said as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders.
"You look very nice." He said.
"Just for you." I said as a grin appeared on my face.
"Not for Mikey?" He said. I rolled my eyes and peck his lips.
"Only you." I said as he kissed me. I kissed him back and looked out of the corner of my eye. I saw Enid by the stairs with tears in her eyes. My eyes went wide as guilt filled my body. She went back up the stairs and slammed the door.
"What was that?" Ron asked as he let go of the kiss. I placed my hand over my face.
"What?" He said.
"Enid saw us.." I said.
"Shit." His hand slid down his face.
"What do we tell her?" I asked. Her face was full of sadness and betrayal. I felt my heart slowly break as I thought of what went through her mind when she saw us.
"I'll tell her.." He said. I stopped him in his tracks.
"Okay what are you doing?" He asked.
"I think it would be better if I told her." I said as I patted his chest.
"Why? She can trust me." He said as I stopped him again.
"It might end up with you not coming out of that bedroom." I said. He gave me a gross expression.
"Not like that!" I said as I pushed him. I motion stabbing and he had an oh expression.
"I'll tell her about so that way she can murder me instead." I said. He looked nervous.
"Joking. I won't let her kill me." I said. I walked up the stair and to Ron's room. I knocked in the door and opened it.
