George POV
Yes, my gut has never lied to me before!
I have to trust it even if my mind speaks different.
I have to start moving on, start making progress.
These are the last three days I have left with Dream. Of course I can keep him longer here, even he insisted that just to be with me.
But, is it worth taking the risk of him potentially dying?
This is... such a hard decision. Everytime I think about Dream, it always comes to me questioning whether it's even worth it. Just, all of it in general. Right. That is why I was always so hesitant as I saw no point in it. But it has gotten to me to such a high point, where I can't hold back anymore. I finally have to commit through these things.
I want to.
When finished with my debate in my head, I carry on with walking.
Though the back of my head, it screams louder about commitment. It's like as if I'm arguing with another person.
Yes, it's overwhelming, but...- No!
I have to focus on Wilbur.
I'm not far from the office anyways. It's just right...
about...
here.
...Here.
I freeze in the middle of the hallway and stare at Wilbur and Quackity.
They have just now left the office, as Wilbur covers the view from being able to see Quackity in front of him. He is leaned down to him with Quackity holding his head.
They seem to have pulled away shortly after, exchanging some words quietly and kissing each other one last time.
I was so caught up in staring, I forgot I even existed in this very moment and forgot to hide so I wouldn't make things awkward.
Wilbur steps aside for Quackity and he sees me. Both now freeze staring at me just how I did.
"U-uhm- George, this is not what you think it is! I was just- explaining something to him, that is all. Did it look like we were kissing?" Wilbur nervously laughs "I swear we weren't... Many people often point that out, you wouldn't be the first one."
Both Wilbur and Quackity grow red in the face, as he decides to just dip into his office without saying anything, leaving me alone with one big, awfully awkward Wilbur.
"...It's okay, Wilbur. I won't tell anyone. Now, we are actually late to our shift." I change topic right away "I went to check on you" Wilbur started approaching me, finally closing the big distance and I began to walk back as well.
Wilbur sighs in defeat "God... it's whatever. Quackity obviously doesn't care because... yeah" he chuckled.
"Wow, lucky you. But why would you even have a shift with me in the first place? It's such an easy task that literally requires no help."
"Okay, so... Schlatt is behind this all, he is trying to activly get me away from Quackity as much as possible. He himself literally told me that. Just trying to shove me in with people, which isn't even necessary. It confuses a bunch of them, too."
"That's awful, what? I didn't even notice that"
"Yes, and the fact is, that Quackity can't really speak against the owner's orders. It's unfair."
"So wait, are you two now..."
Wilbur looks at me for a moment and starts fiddling with the material of his clothes "I'm not suppose to share this with anyone, Quackity pretty much strictly forbid me to say anything, but.. can I trust you? That you won't tell anyone? Not even Dream?"
